Historically speaking, Elmhurst used to be a complicated neighborhood in the west side of Queens. Nowadays, Elmhurst is the thriving region of multifamily homes, and co-op and apartment buildings. There are many furniture stores along Queens Boulevard, which is also home to two malls, Queens Center and Queens Place. The region is also home to the most diversified groups of immigrants, especially people from Asia. This reflects clearly in the varied selections of restaurants. Drop by Marani for Mediterranean cuisine. The chanahi beef will melt in your mouth with sweet tomato sauce.
