Cozy all wooden cabin just steps away from great views of the Turrialba volcano, direct access to the Pacuare river known for the best rafting in Costa Rica and a relaxing atmosphere. Ideal for nature and adventure lovers, or small groups. You will enjoy the huge +300 hectares (800 acres) farm, 2 BBQ ranch, trails, wild nature, and farm animals. Ideal to relax and enjoy the wilderness and the family ranch experience. This pine cabin was originally used as an office but was recently refurbished to accommodate guests that would love to visit a 350 hectares property in the rural areas of Turrialba right next to the Pacuare river. The cabin is conveniently located close to the main entrance of the farm with a very easy access. The cabin has a small table with stools, a TV and wifi. The kitchen is fully equipped and if you need something specific, feel free to ask. Our guests will have access to any part of the farm, the 2 BBQ ranches available in the property; one located 100 yards away from the cabin and another one next to the Pacuare river with amazing views of the primary forest and the river. We also have a variety of roads and trails that our guests are welcome to explore. We have a few horses available for horseback riding tours for an additional cost. Since the farm is focused on conservation and in promoting the natural ecosystem, you will be able to fully appreciate the variety of flora and fauna found on the premises. Lots of birds, mammals, frogs (night frog watching tour available) and insects will delight you in your visit. As a farm we have farm animals grazing around the property including chickens, ducks, roosters and many more; so expect to have a farm experience. We recommend bringing good hiking shoes or boots, jeans for horseback riding and river rafting apparel. Also, remember to bring a rain jacket with you. If the water conditions of the river allow it, you can enjoy a swim in the Pacuare river as well so don't forget your bathing suit. We understand that you are visiting to relax and enjoy the environment. Thus, we will try to keep out of your way as much as possible. However, we are available at any time to answer any question you might have; if you need something, or simply want to learn more about Costa Rica, the local culture or our farm. I will gladly share with you as much information as you want in regards to any details that may arise. I will also help you coordinate any specific tours inside the farm and help as a guide in case you want to get to know trails and spots. You probably won't be spending any time in the neighborhood since you will be enjoying the property and its wild nature. The small town of Tres Equis is located across from the main road. It has a couple of small convenience stores where you can purchase food or any basic supplies but nothing fancy. You can reach it by car or within 5-minute walking distance. Getting around Costa Rica by bus is safe and stress-free. Let us know if you plan to take this option, and we will make some suggestions if required. If you are taking the Tres Equis bus from Turrialba it will stop in the center of the town (5-minute walking distance from the farm). If you take the one to-from Siquirres the bus stop is Tres Equis directly in front of the property. Access to the property can be done in any type of vehicle, a 4x4 is not required but is recommended to roam the property and use the gravel road inside the farm. We offer a basic breakfast (rice&beans, eggs, sausage, bread, and orange juice). We could coordinate other options for lunch and dinner at an additional cost.
