I am always available by email and phone, both before and during your stay. I make it a point to interact with my guests regularly - even if just to check in. I also live 10 mins away. About me: I am Indian by descent, Barbadian by birth and Bajan by choice. Tourism, business and travel are my three passions. While I welcome all comers, first time visitors and foodies are my favorites. I absolutely love meeting people and traveling the world through our conversations. My objective is to ensure you come to love this amazing country the way I do… Your stay can be as adventurous or as relaxing as you desire. The landscaped grounds are often a hive of activity in the afternoons as guests take walks, return home from supermarket runs or the beach, finish up their golf or tennis games or just relax. The pool is also very relaxing and a great place to meet fellow visitors. A major supermarket (Massy) and bank (First Citizens) are located an 8 min walk from the resort, along a highly visible and well trafficked road. The supermarket shuttle will drop customers back to your apartment. The South Coast road, the main artery in the south, with retail shops, bars and restaurants are located a further 2 mins walk. Worthing Beach, a lovely but sparsely patronized beach, is located directly across the South Coast road. Great options for lunch (Coffee Bean, Chicken Barn, Cheffette, BBQ), dinner (Shakers, Mojos, Just Grillin') and drinks (Mojos, Kings Tavern) are all within walking distance. Not only is the route safe, you will often bump into other visitors staying at the resort heading out or returning home. Getting from the Airport Airport taxis are available, are safe and all know Rockley Golf & Country Club well. Private Transportation In order to see the true charm of the island, I always recommended renting a car for at least 2 days. This allows you to see places you may not on tours, and at your own pace. It also gives you one other reason to interact with Bajans when you get lost! Public Transportation The South Coast road, the main artery in the south, is a 10 min walk from the resort. From there you can get buses that ran all the way past Oistins to the airport and on to the world famous Crane Beach (a must visit - rated 1 of the top 10 beaches in the world for its spectacular view from the Crane Resort) in the east, and to the capital Bridgetown in the west. There are large blue government buses, medium sized yellow private buses and small white private vans (called ZR vans and definitely an experience since you can occasionally get packed in like sardines, sitting next to locals who will happily start a conversation with you about anything! We Bajans, as Barbadians are affectionately known, really are a friendly bunch). With all these options, you can get a ride within minutes (if not seconds) of getting to the bus stop. And all public transit radiates from Bridgetown so once there aside from duty free shopping and restaurants, you can further travel to any part of the island.
