Peace and quiet are yours in this renovated older home near Fort Russell, East City Park, and the Hamilton Aquatic Center. Easy access to downtown and university. Free bus route just half a block away. Well-established family neighborhood, considerate, friendly neighbors. Park easily on the street in front. Your host, Carol, lives in the house, with a cat, but travels often. You will have two private conjoined rooms and private bathroom, accessible from the living and dining area of the house. The space is best set up for one person or two adults who share a bed. The bathroom is adjacent to your private area. The main bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, and closet. The second bedroom, reached by going through the main bedroom, is set up as a sunny sitting area to lounge and drink morning coffee, with comfy chairs, a small table, and coffee supplies. A small fridge/freezer is in the second bedroom/sunroom, private for Airbnb guest use. There is a single bed in this room. There is a small a/c unit, a small radiant heater, and large operable windows with screens in the Airbnb space, plus a wall heater in the bathroom, and radiant floor heat for the entire main floor. You will have a full bathroom just for your use during your stay, and access to the shared kitchen, dining area, living room with wood stove, front porch, and basement laundry. Occasionally the host might need access to the bathroom but will arrange this with you if this is needed. I live in the house but travel frequently. I'm easily reachable most of the time via my cell phone. Due to my schedule I'm not often available for socializing but I'm very happy to give you recommendations for good places to eat and visit while you're in the area. I've lived on the Palouse for 19 years and am the owner of BookPeople of Moscow, the independent bookstore in Moscow's awesome downtown. Due to COVID situation, we are not socializing with guests at all and are limiting our own use of shared spaces. We use a side entrance to our home and reserve the front door for guests. We sanitize common areas often and ask guests to be as mindful as possible of health and safety practices. Thanks! Our neighborhood is just on the edge of Fort Russell historic district and my house is very near East City Park. Walking to downtown through the Fort Russell neighborhood is one of my favorite ways to get around. It is quiet, established, shady, friendly, and peaceful. If your previous stays in units closer to the university have been less than stellar due to noisy students living nearby or busy traffic on the arterial streets, you'll appreciate the Lincoln Street Retreat. The free bus route has a stop just half a block away. It's very convenient. It's also pretty easy walking distance to the downtown, Rosauer's grocery store, Mountain View Park, the Hamilton Recreation Center, the 1912 Center, Moscow Middle School, and Moscow High School. Currently one adult female cat lives in this house, Maisie. She is generally quiet and unobtrusive. Maisie is black and white, like a Holstein cow. She comes and goes inside and outside as she can when someone opens the house door for her. There is the usual risk of typical cat behavior which can include, at best, wanting to sit in your lap and at worst, vomiting on the living room rug. The cat is never allowed in the Airbnb rooms or bathroom.
