Prepare to unplug from the world, enjoy the sunny beach snorkeling thru the coral reefs or lay down at a hammock when it rains. You just can't ask for more. There is a fully equipped kitchen with the basics: fridge, microwave, gas stove, etc. Don't feel like cooking? no problem. There are many good places near by where to eat. Also Puerto Viejo town is 6 Km away, with many more options for eating, having fun or shopping. Maria Paula is a young gal that lives next to the house, and knows like no other the area. . Don’t hesitate to ask her about nice places to visit, where to eat, shop and hang around. She will welcome you as you arrive, give you the keys, and help with any question you may have. Playa Chiquita is simply amazing. Go and try Caribbean cuisine at "La nena", enjoy a cup of coffee at "bread and chocolate", shop for groceries at "super Negro" and enjoy other beaches nearby: Punta Uva, Manzanillo, Cocles. Playa Chiquita is one hour south of Limon. and 4:30 hours from San Jose. You can get there by car, bus, or fly to Limon International Airport and get a shuttle south / rent a car (Alamo).
