The room is bright and airy. It is at the rear of the building and it overlooks the rear houses. The window has a roller shutter on the outside and inside has curtains. When the shutter is fully closed, it blocks out 100% of light. The floor covering is parquet. The room is 4 m long & 3.50 m wide. It has a desk & a treadmill. You have 9 bus stops in a 3 block radius. Nearby tourist attactions: Caminito, Usina del Arte, Boca Soccer Stadium. Shops: supermarkets, post office, cafes, pizzerias, etc You are welcome to use the kitchen. The kitchen includes an electric oven, a 4 burner gas stove, an electric water heater, a wok, a mixer, etc. The kitchen is very well equipped. You are welcome to put food in the fridge or freezer and cook in the kitchen. You are also welcome to use the washing machine. There is a rooftop clothes-line and an indoors drying rack. There is a fold-up treadmill in your bedroom. You are welcome to use it. The flat is on the second floor (ground floor, first floor, second floor). The flat is accessible only by stairs. The hosts (2 people) live in the flat. They share the kitchen and bathroom with the guest. You will be the only guest. Your room has 3 pieces of furniture to put your clothes/belogings in. All drawers and storage spaces are left empty for you to use. The host's bicycle is available for rent at certain times of the year and/or whenever he is not using it. The guests will have access to all parts of this apartment except the owners' bedrooms. The hosts are very patient and helpful with all the questions guests have. One of the hosts speaks English fluently. My neighborhood is called "La Boca". It is a lower-class neighborhood. However, the building is very good quality. The whole building used to belong to a single family. It was ordered by the family’s parents so each son and daughter would have their own flat. Many tourists come to La Boca for sightseeing. The Official Buenos Aires City hop on & off Tour Bus stops at 3 places in La Boca. However, La Boca has no hotels. And no Starbucks! The area is mostly inhabited by locals and projects a sense of real life living. We offer you the chance to stay in a less international, more Argentinean neighborhood. La Boca is both famous and notorius. Notorius for the Riachuelo (a very polluted river). Famous for the soccer stadium, artists like Quinquela Martin, etc. Parks: We are near Parque Lezama (1.4 km, 18 minutes on foot) Surrounding neighborhoods are San Telmo, Puerto Madero, Barracas. The location is very convenient for students attending classes in Puerto Madero. It is also very convenient for tourists arriving by ferry from Uruguay. Cafes: There are two very nice cafes: Cafe Roma and Proa Cafe. Restaurants: Pizzeria Banchero (a very well known pizzeria). There are 3 highly-rated restaurants: Don Carlos, El Obrero and Il Matterello Heladerías: Modena, Sorrento. Security: The apartment is on a safe street. We will tell you which parts of La Boca are safe and which parts are a bit iffy. Supermarkets chains: Carrefour, Dia and Chinese-owned supermarkets. Other shops: pharmacies, banks, etc Many bus lines serve this neighborhood. For example: 64, 152 to go downtown (Plaza de Mayo) 29, 64 and 152 to go to San Telmo (Plaza Dorrego) 64, 152 to go to Palermo (Plaza Italia) 168 to got to Palermo (Plaza Serrano) 130 to go to Recoleta (Plaza Francia), MALBA Museum 33, 152 to go to Retiro Bus Station etc. No subway
