Our beach house has a very organic, warm, cozy and modern rustic vibe. The main living space has an open concept design, with vaulted ceilings, has plenty of comfortable seating, and a gorgeous reclaimed wood feature wall. Cooking is a pleasure in our fully equipped galley style kitchen, it has plenty of storage and counter space to accommodate more than a few cooks. We use organic, eco-friendly bamboo, flax, linens, and towels. Decorated with up-cycled Mid Century Modern pieces, and Canadian made furniture. The walls are adorned with local nature-inspired and Indigenous artwork and textiles. All lakeside windows are double high, perfect for enjoying the breathtaking views of Lake Winnipeg. You’ll be captivated by the colourful sunrises, and mesmerized watching the sunshine and moonlight dance across the waves. Recharge and unwind while taking in the panoramic views from the hot tub on our expansive deck. Just being here will calm your mind and restore your spirit. Enjoy lounging around the fire pit roasting marshmallows, laughing, or telling ghost stories. You’ll gaze in wonderment at the night sky filled with too many stars to count. If you're lucky, you may even experience the memorable and haunting Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights show. Wildlife is aplenty in our neighbourhood, a true Nature lover’s dream and fishermen's retreat. Make sure to bring your fishing gear as Lake Winnipeg is home to some of the best fishing in the world. Our beach house is a 4 season vacation property, and it is available all year long. The summer high season is from May Long Weekend thru the September Long Weekend, the property is available for 7 night minimum rental. Spring, Fall and a Winter are also wonderful times to enjoy our stunning space with picturesque surroundings. Escape for a romantic weekend, a corporate retreat, or spend some quality time with your friends and family. In the winter you can go ice fishing, so bring your gear, snowmobile or ATV and bundle up. Don’t forget to bring your bathing suit as the hot tub is run year round. *We offer the use of the entire beach house, except for the crawl space, it is off limits. All closets have a small section of personal belongings, so please be respectful and do not use or touch. *For your pleasure we have hammocks, lounge furniture, yoga mats, beach blankets, patio tables, picnic baskets, and a few coolers to use. *We have a wireless telephone, 2 Smart tv’s with wifi, satellite cable, several movie/sports channels, Netflix, YouTube, and much more. *The satellite cable box is password protected, please request it from the Host for purchases to be made. Guests will be responsible for any rental charges endured and may be billed up to 30 days after departure. Please inform the Host directly via email or text and we will bill you through Airbnb. *We have provided some eco-friendly soaps, shampoos, lotions, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, fabric whitener, fabric softener, paper towels and toilet paper. You are welcome to use a reasonable amount of products during your stay, but please do not remove. *We have a first aid kit in the laundry room. *We have provided recommended places to dine, tourist info, local attractions, and activities to do. *The Host or a serviceman will be popping by once a week (twice in the hot season) to do the yard maintenance, mow the grass, weed and water the garden, service or address any issues or concerns with the property. No notice will be given. *The Host or serviceman will be available at any time in case of an emergency. We will also provide a list of local trades in the event of an emergency, the Guests must allow trades to enter the property at any time day or night. We are located in the peaceful community of Silver Harbour, in the town of Arnes, RM of Gimli, in the province of Manitoba, Canada. Airbnb incorrectly lists our location as Riverton, Manitoba, it is not. The correct location and directions to our property are provided in the Directions. *If you have a boat or jet skies they may be parked in the yard, no launch from our property, we are in close proximity to 3 marinas. *You may park your ATVs, golf carts or snowmobiles on our property, no riding on the berm. *You can hike down the private beach for an hour in total isolation, you will see plenty of wildlife and take in the amazing views of Lake Winnipeg. Please collect some beach glass and some heart shape rocks to add to our collection. *The Arnes Market runs May long weekend thru the October long weekend, it is open every Sat-Sun. They have located on Hwy 9 about 10 mins away. They have many cool vendors with a variety of artisans, goods, antiques, books, food, farm-fresh veggies, and a petting zoo. *The nearest town is Gimli, Manitoba, it's located just 15 mins south on Hwy 222. Gimli is the worlds 2nd largest Icelandic community. Make sure to stroll down the boardwalk and then check out the Giant Viking. The town has a Public Beach, a few Grocery Stores, Gas Stations, Liquor Mart, Beer Vendors, Hotels, Bars, Lounges, VLT’s, Movie Theatre, Bowling Alley, Clothing Stores, Credit Union, Hardware Stores, Gift Shops, Coffee Shops, Florist, Realtors, Mechanics, Farmers Market, Museum, Marina, Hospital, Bakery and much more. *You will be amazed by the never-ending variety of birds flying by, especially during the spring and fall migration. We have provided a book on local Manitoba birds, a pair of binoculars and a memory nature book to document your findings. *Anglers will be pleased with the vast variety of freshwater fish available in Lake Winnipeg. Lake Life Tips: *Be prepared and pack for the weather, bring your bathing suits, hats, sunscreen and bug spray. *If needed, bring your rubber boots, raincoats and umbrellas. *Runners, walking sandals, crocs, or hiking boots, are recommended to hike the beach or community in comfort. *Make sure to bring water shoes for swimming in the lake, as the beach is sometimes rocky. *Bring a warm sweater, hoodie or water/windproof jacket, it’s best to dress in layers, even in the summer, it sometimes can be very cool and windy on the lake. *You will need a vehicle to travel. You may wish to walk, hike, bike, ATV, snowmobile or drive your golf cart within the community. Service charges in Canadian: *There will be a $120 septic pump fee added to all weekly stays, or $60.00 for a 2 day stay, this will billed separately through Airbnb and must be paid for directly after check in. *If a Guest stays longer than a week, they may request a house cleaning and linen change for an additional $200.00 fee. This can be arranged and scheduled through Host via email or text. The service will be billed separately through Airbnb and must be paid for in advance.
