Julieta's in Rivas is a backpackers 'stop & go' basic budget hostel located at a critical cross roads; guests are bound for adventure spots like Ometepe and surfing at Playa Popoyo. ...''private 'sleeper rooms'' with lock on door, fan, bed, desk and towels - at prices comparable or lower than bunk beds in some other crowded, insecure, noisy bunk house room with strangers. So, location, cleanliness, comfort & assistance by the staff are main features. Free shared kitchenette/Filtered water Hotel Julieta is a boutique a wonderful selections for breakfast - but not inclusive to price of room. Rest from the rigors of traveling; use our neat common area front patio where you can have foods delivered with no delivery cost or do your Chakra yoga and meditations at 6 AM & 4 PM. We have seven rooms and host a maximum of eleven guests. We elected to not have bunk rooms shared by strangers - so, for your comfort and security, we have all private sleeping rooms with ample shared banos and showers. It is not fancy and has no fancy frills - but it is clean, comfortable and secure with outstanding service and assistance for travelers. We like to say, we are a couple notches above camping out but primitive luxury. One of the biggest advantages of the hostel Julieta being located in the cross roads town of Rivas is the cheap and frequent public bus transportation and plentiful taxi service to many backpackers' hot spots. Even getting around in town is made faster and easier with the abundance of cylos (bicycle with passenger seat in front and driver in back) .. another is the delicious foods served at cafes and restaurants at low prices. Local buses are great transportation and go to all the favorite spots. Taxis are good to but you need to negotiate and a shared taxi with friends helps your pocketbook. Car and motorbike rentals are available too - and the hotel helps guests with all these transportation needs. Secure parking if you don't want to park on the street out front is $1 per night and located three safe and easy to walk blocks from hotel.
