The house is just around the corner from the Brattleboro Farmers Market, and a park with a swimming pool in the summer and ski hill and skating rink for winter recreation. The house is located one mile from downtown Brattleboro, and a half-hour drive to major ski areas. Close by are gorgeous swimming holes, hiking trails, 18-hole golf course, canoe rentals. The apartment features full kitchen, recently renovated full bathroom with tub/shower, comfortable king-size bed, high-speed wi-fi, cableTV, large walk-in closet and tasteful decorations and furniture. The apartment is in a historic 100-year-old house, formerly owned by the legendary author and bridge player Eli Culbertson. The house is in a quiet location, surrounded by forest and hiking trails, but very close to downtown Brattleboro and all tourist attractions, including fine dining, local shopping, music and art, and winter ski resorts. You are free to wander around the property and enjoy our landscaping and gardens. Flowers abound during the summer, and you can pick your own herbs for dinner. The apartment features a living/dining/kitchen area with a comfortable and pretty sofa, a period metal table and full kitchen ready to cook yummy dinners. The decoration is tasteful and original, featuring several paintings by the owner, Julia. The bedroom boasts a king-size bed, comfy chairs, the TV and more of Julia's artwork. The bathroom is recently renovated with full bath/shower. There's plenty of storage space throughout, a large storage area off the living room and a huge walk-in closet in the bedroom, all perfect for long-term stays.
