This new home has Chaleur Bay and the beach at it’s doorstep. The zen loft on the second floor has a large patio with 180 degree panoramic views of the Bay, beach and surrounding area. This place is perfect for drifting away on a lounge chair, with the sun and salt water smells and sounds, watching spectacular sunrises and sunsets or curling up with a book from the owner’s personal library, a coffee or wine in hand. Here, relaxing comes naturally. An open plan loft studio apartment with lots of light and an amazing view, it is an ideal retreat for one to two adults. Access is by stairs just inside the main entrance, with the owner living on the lower level (closed to the main entrance). Faye is a retired nurse with varied travel and work experience, who welcomes you to her home near the forest and mountains of the Gaspésie and just 80 feet from the beach and Bay. She is happy to answer your questions and have a chat. New Carlisle is a residential town with a population of about 1,400. It offers a board walk extending 1.5km on an almost never ending beach, if you catch the tide at the right time. You will discover historic sites and trails, museums, including Espace René Lévesque, and Café Luna, with its friendly and well travelled owner, eclectic décor and home made food. Every Saturday from mid-July to late September you’ll find a market, with vendors offering local fruit, vegetables, produce, crafts, music and more. Winter offers ski doo, ski and snowshoe trails with the friendly ambiance of a rustic chalet for a cozy hot drink or home cooked meal. Reach ‘Serenity-by-the-Sea’ via Route 132, on Billingsley street, located immediately before (heading west) or immediately after (heading east) the Quebec Ministry of Transport Garage. Turn towards the Bay! You can’t miss it, with a rail fence and ocean blue door. Eastward, New Carlisle is close to Paspébiac, the main town for all basic amenities, as well as historical site and marina, where sail excursions are available. 1hr30 further is the famous Percé with a UNESCO Global Geopark and another hour to Forillon National Park. Westward we are 1hr from Carleton and 20 minutes from Bonaventure, with the Acadian Musesum, the Bioparc (an educational wildlife park), horseback and fishing excursions and a marina with café and craft boutiques nearby. In the surrounding area outdoor activities are available at CIME Aventure, Le Malin and the Fauvel 18-hole golf course. Located in Saint-Elzéar is the Karst Biodiversity Reserve (18.4 km), a network of ancient caves, a variety of concretions unique to Québec and a paleontological site dating back to the Postglacial period.
