West facing for amazing sunsets across the lake and views of Volcan Concepcion. Close to restaurants and small stores. Housecleaning, laundry services, cooking available - or do your own cooking in the private kitchen. Refrigerator, two burner stove, blender, coffee pot, pots and pans etc. Many activities and tours can be arranged. Kayaking to the Rio Istian, climbing Maderas or other hikes, fishing, horse riding for all ages and abilities. There are 2 bicycles at the casita for your use and more can be rented in the village. Scooters, quads and motorcycles available to rent. Hire a driver to tour the island. There are more than 750 recorded bird species in Nicaragua, and a large percentage of these are found in the island wetlands. The casita is very private and not visible from the main house. Host or her representatives will be available if you need them. This is the heart of Ometepe. Merida is rural but with many tourist amenities and activities. The casita is on the lake at the end of a short dirt road off the main road. It is passable with a small car. Friendly people -a wonderful community! 2 bikes are available for guest use. You pay for repairs if you damage one. more bikes and motorcycles/ scooters for rent in the village. regular bus service to Altagracia, Moyogalpa, Balgue area etc. Transport to the casita from the airport etc. can be arranged. Host can arrange safe and friendly transportation to and from Managua (airport), San Juan del Sur, Granada etc. to the casita. You pay the taxistas.
