Welcome to Casa Madeira, the private island you can drive to. This beautifully designed home boasts over 4500 square feet of living space. The property is almost 4 acres surrounded by the Yamaska River and a private forest. A cedar hot tub sits beside the river. Ideal for relaxing outside. Ski Bromont is only a 15 minute drive away. Mont Sutton and Orford are 25. Jay Peak is less than an hour. Relax in luxury with the whole family and your guests in a private home designed for living. Casa Madeira is a wide open space that easily accommodate 2 families comfortably. The house is stylishly furnished. The property is beautiful and private with enough room to explore. We encourage our guests to do so. Please be careful with small children near the river as the current can be deceptively strong. The kitchen space has an 8 person dining table and a very large island for food preparation that can hold a large group for socializing and sharing chores. The dining room can easily handle a dinner party of 14 people or more. The master bedroom is large and has an en suite bathroom. The loft bedroom can sleep up to 8 people and also has an en suite. Two upstairs bedroom are accommodate 2 each and share a bathroom. There is a large entrance room with enough space with plenty of hooks to hang your coats, snow-pants, towels or anything else you feel belongs there. The hot tub is prepped and ready for lounging. It is ideal for relaxing in at the end of a day of activities. Casa Madeira has been designed to be functional AND beautiful. It is tastefully furnished but everything in it is designed for you to enjoy yourself and have fun with. Guest have access to the entire house but at the moment the basement has not been renovated and is not up to the standard of the rest of the house. We ask that guests stay out of the tool room and the furnace room. We do not include the basement in the rental agreement. However there, is a fully functional bathroom and bedroom that can be used. While guests have access to the garage unfortunately cars CANNOT be parked inside for safety reasons. VERY IMPORTANT. We are often traveling ourselves when the house is rented so we may take a bit more time to respond to requests. However, we are well connected like everyone else these days and we will do our very best to get to your needs as soon as humanly possibly. Casa Madeira lies in the heart of the Eastern townships and while it feels like you are secluded in the middle of nowhere you are no more than a ten minute drive from all major amenities. Several ski hills are within striking distance. In the summer Ski Bromont has an excellent water park and some of the best mountain biking Eastern Canada has to offer, including a downhill bike park. There is also a world class golf course. Wine tours are available in the region as are many micro breweries. Lac Brome has public access within a 10 minute drive. Casa Madeira is only a 2 minute drive off of hwy 10 but you will feel like you are deep in the Eastern Township countryside. There are no visible neighbours and no public transportation accessible so you will certainly need a car to get around. At the moment the master bathroom does not have a functional bathtub and there is no shower. It is scheduled to be renovated in the near future. However, the additional bathroom is so close as to almost be an ensuite and it has both tub and shower in good working order.
