Mangy Moose Lodge is a beautiful location just ten minutes to the West Entrance of Glacier National Park. The views from this remodeled three bedroom, two bath home are breathtaking. 450' of Middle Fork River frontage with direct access to the best fishing in Northwest Montana. Home is located on the last canyon with some of the deepest fishing pools on the Middle Fork. Walking distance to stores! All high quality beds, beautiful furnishings and everything to make your stay unforgettable. Mangy Moose Lodge is a beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath house. It sits 100 feet above the Middle Fork River on the canyon edge. There is a footpath about a city block long that takes you down to the river's edge. The path can be difficult in some areas and small children, older people and people with physical limitations may have difficulties reaching the water. There is 450' of riverfront with some of the best fly fishing in Montana. This property has been privately owned for over 35 years and is now available to share. In the early 1920's, the property's road used to be the sole public roadway leading to the entrance of Glacier park! Super nice property with perfect views of the Middle Fork River. **Fishing Catch And Release Only** We have bear spray for your use. If you use it or take it then you will be charge $25.00. The entire 1700 square foot house and attached 400 square foot deck are all yours to enjoy. There is also a large gazebo patio and deck just below the house overlooking the beautiful river and canyon for your enjoyment. There is also an available bunk room next to the main house with four twin beds and a bathroom/shower, accommodating up to four more people. There is an additional $175 a night charge for the bunk room and $75 dollar cleaning fee. If you don't rent the Bunk Room With the main house it could be rented by the other unit on the property. Please inquire if you want to rent the bunk room with the house. Bunk Room-First come first serve for Bunk Room rental. **The property also has another home on it. It is a studio apartment that sleeps up to 4, so with availability… the entire property can be rented sleeping 16. ** *You have private space for each unit at the river marked either Main Mangy or Mini Mangy.* ***To access the river via the footpath, it is highly recommended that you wear good walking shoes. The path has elevation changes, tree roots, rocks, and uneven surfaces that can be a tripping hazard. Use the stairs down to the river at your own risk.*** The trash shed is on the side of the house and must be shut and locked due to bear activity. You will be given the door code and directions prior to your arrival. The garage is owners use only. There is a covered carport to the right of the house. There is another cabin on the property that can be rented, or may be occupied by another party during your stay. ***The owners sometimes use the “rock house” down towards the river so they may be on the property on occasion during your stay.*** **If you are caught with a pet in the house, you will be charged $500 fee.** Carren is available for any questions or concerns during your stay. Each home has their private space by the river** The home is in the town of Hungry Horse about 10 minutes drive from the West Entrance to Glacier National Park. The liquor store and grocery store are within walking distance off the backside of the property. There is occasional bear activity on the property. No Pets on the property. The Mangy Moose is booked back to back meaning cleaners have just from 10-4 pm the day you check in to get it perfect for your stay so early check in is not possible. Thank you for understanding!
