Book enough time to stay and enjoy, you won’t be sorry! Our beach house is located at 32 Snitzel Lane on the famous Cabot Trail in Ingonish Beach, a fishing village in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The view from the spacious deck (NEW RAILING) over- looking Ingonish Harbour, is breath-taking. At night, enjoy the romantic moon, glistening on the water. The house is a fully equipped spacious, one level, 2 bedroom house with 2 BRAND NEW 12 INCH MEMORY FOAM MATTRESSES (queen size and double), a queen sofa sleeper and a NEW SPA-LIKE BATHROOM. There is a new BBQ, outside table and chairs and Keltic chairs on the deck to take in the view! Whether youre combing the beach for sea treasures; par-taking in The Cape Breton Highlands national park’s interpretive programs; guided walks or Geo catching; or hiking enjoying this spectacular scenery, you will surely encounter moose and other wildlife living in the Cape Breton Highlands, where the Eagles soar high. Owner to share closet space This Shabby Chic Beach House is equipped with laundry facilities, hair dryer, baby gate, playpen, full kitchen, 2 bedrooms (queensize and a double bed), and a livingroom with Netflix. Cable t.v.,stereo and DVD with DVD’s and wifi. There is a full sized deck overlooking the Ingonish Harbour. Enjoy the picturous view from the inside through the large windows in both the living room and kitchen. For your convenience, I provide tea, coffee, cream and sugar. The kitchen is fully equipped. I will meet you at the front door with the key. If our timing is off (I may be at the beach lol), the key will be in the handle of the front door. Just walk in and enjoy! The Cape Breton National Park's Information Centre will provide you with multiple things to see and do during your stay. It is located just passed the Home Hardware. On Cape Breton Island, we are located North of Cape Smokey at the entrance of the #1 ranked National Park in Canada USA Today (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) where fishing villages line the North Atlantic Ocean along The Cabot Trail. In the Village of Ingonish Beach, there is a Scotia Bank, Liquor Store, Post Office, Caper gas station, Doucette's Eatery/food market Variety Store, Home Hardware, "Main Street Restaurant," where you can order the catch of the day; the infamous Keltic Lodge Spa; the Cape Breton Highlands Links golf course; a public beach ("Ingonish Beach"), and a fresh water lake that's just perfect for kayaking and canoeing. Many kayakers enjoy the ocean coastline too! You can star gaze and meditate as you enjoy the tranqulity of the moon-lit sparkling water, as you relax on the large deck over-looking Ingonish Harbour. There is the Freshmart grocery store in the Village of Ingonish; and Doucettes food Market in Ingonish Beach. The Coastal Waters Restaurant opens Mother's Day weekend. Doucette's Market has a little restaurant and take-out all year round. In season, there are many restaurants offering fresh seafood in season. Lobster season is from 2nd week in May - July 15/18. Visit the beach in the village of Ingonish Beach. The sound of the surf and singing pebbles (Barachois) is meditating and the beach is life- guarded in the summer months. Visit the fresh water lake that is separated from the ocean salt water by the cobblestone barrier. There is also a fresh water lake trail that is so picturesque with the autumn colors. In winter, enjoy the slopes at Ski Cape Smokey, skate on our Olympic rink, or venture into the Highlands on snowshoes. The Cape Breton National Park's Hiking Summit is in May. Also in May, experience Donelda's Puffin Boat Tours, Daily tours to Bird Islands to the nesting grounds of the Atlantic Puffins and a number of other seabirds, Grey Seals and Bald Eagles .Located in Englishtown (Website hidden by Airbnb) We have a taxi service. U go I go. There is no bus. From the beach house, amenities are a stones-throw away. It’s a prime location! WEEKEND AT BERNIE'S Beach House over-looks Ingonish Harbour and is located at the entrance of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. At the Ingonish Beach, one can play tennis at the newly renovated courts, play soccer on the soccer field, build sand castles, swim in the salt and rinse off in the Fresh water lake which is separated from the ocean by a "Natural cobble stone Barachois." Attached to the beach canteen are change rooms and bathrooms. There is an outdoor shower. There are many guided hikes, or you could venture out with a "buddy", and take in the beauty of the many hiking trails cut out by the National Park in the Cape Breton Highlands. Visit the Park’s information centre in Ingonish Beach for more information on hiking. Lobster season begins the 2nd week of May - July 15/19. The crab season is 2 weeks before or after lobster. The restaurants such as "Main Street," (5 Star) located a stones-throw from the beach house offering the catch of the day and "Coastal Waters" (as seen on the TV show, you've got to eat here) in Ingonish typically opens the Friday of Mothers Day weekend in May and provides live entertainment from the last weekend in June from 6-9, six days a week. There are many other restaurants such as "the Arduane," which also offers live entertainment in the attached Breton Room From 8:00-11:00 pm which is located in Ingonish Beach on the property of the infamous, Keltic Lodge. For a more informal dining experience, "The Seagull Restaurant" in Ingonish offers a delicious menu and has an outdoor deck where you may choose to sit, overlooking the bay. It is very child friendly! The Ingonish Beach "Canteen" right at the beach, offers convenient fast food and icecream. COVID restrictions apply The Zodiac, Keltic Express Express, docked at the Ingonish warf, offers an exciting whale watch. See sea life from a marine perspective! The whale watches open June 1st. Rent a golf cart for $35 and tour the mountaineous 18 holes at the famous Cape Breton Highlands Links, which was rated in the best 100 golf courses in the world! Ingonish Beach provides a unique experience.
