Warmland House, Shawnigan Lake

We are taking extra precautions to extensively clean between guests in response to COVID-19. We may need to move check-out time to 11 am in order to complete extra cleaning if another guest is arriving the day you check-out. A short walk from the village and beaches. In the Cowichan Valley, there are beautiful hiking trails, fabulous wineries and excellent dining options. Near to Shawnigan Lake School, Brentwood College and St. John's School. and 50 km from Victoria. A large room with a Queen bed, a pull-out Queen sofa, and a large bathroom. We have a small table and chairs outside the suite should you wish to sit outside. There is a private entrance. Please note that the suite is on the second floor and is accessible by a flight of stairs indoors. Restaurants: There is a new restaurant called Lakeside (on the lake) that has great burgers. Near us is a Thai place called Mantra. In the village is another new place called The Corner Table which has great "hand-crafted food." Also in the village is a Japanese restaurant call Hosuka and a take out pizza place called Sarpinos, and a take-out Korean/Japanese/ fast-food place called Shawnigan Jen's. There is also a take out Mexican place called Compass. My favourite place is called Unsworth, they are also a winery. And another good place is called Meridale, they are a cidery but have good food too. I know a couple of places close early, at 7 lately due to COVID, so do check first. There is also a Subway in the village and an awesome coffee shop and bakery. I would like to note, so that guests are not mislead by previous comments, that we originally operated this space as a B and B and offered a hot breakfast to guests. The earlier reviews speak of this breakfast. Beginning in July, 2015 we changed our advertisement so that it no longer states that breakfast is included. Anyone booking after July 15, 2015 would not have seen "breakfast included" in the advertisement. However, after reading earlier reviews they may have been confused. I would just like to make it clear that despite some reviews which comment on a hot breakfast, we are no longer offering this service, as per "amenities." We, however, are leaving a few breakfast items in the fridge which are complimentary.
