Our neighbors are very friendly and helpful. Some offer hiking trails, others horseback rides, there are two nearby restaurants, one that offers typical food, another international food. A little shop called pulpería is a kilometer from here. The neighbor across the street sells eggs, the other milk. Please serve oranges, lemons, tangerines in our garden at if ripe. Do not forget to visit our enchanted forest! :-) Here are a few things you may be interested to know: ✔ Many microclimates exist within a short distance; therefore, we recommend a sweater for the evenings ✔ There is a rich biodiversity here with many different kinds of flora and fauna, especially birds and butterflies – how many can you count? ✔ Our forest was previously a cattle area; it has now been reforested and if you take the time to listen and observe, you will discover it is an enchanted forest with many different sounds! ✔ We have many nearby rivers and waterfalls – feel free to bathe and swim in them! From San José there is a bus that travels directly to Miramar, Montes de Oro. From there, a bus departs to Tajo Alto at two in the afternoon. On the way back to Miramar, he leaves the next day at 7 o'clock in the morning. Taxis are always available. We have a taxi driver who makes fair prices if he wants to do tours with him. Buses which depart from cities in the north such as Liberia, stop at Cuatro Cruces. Likewise, buses run to Miramar. The same in Cuatro Cruces, here you will always find a taxi driver who takes you to Tajo Alto. We like to give our guests the privacy to enjoy the space, but feel free to ask for local recommendations. If you need anything or have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
