It has two full bathrooms and a half bath, a whole area of living / dining room, kitchenette. CARLOTA is a boutique hotel in a renovated historical house within the Historic district of Quito. The house was built at the turn of the century circa 1905. In 1966 Doña Carlota Echeverría de Moreno acquired this house, which would be her home and her family’s for over 40 years. CARLOTA began in 2011, with the intent of preserving a historical landmark of great value to the city and to Doña Carlota. At the same time the hotel aims to contribute to the city with an intimate, exclusive and innovative hospitality proposal that will enrich what the historic district has to offer. UNESCO declared Quito’s Historic District a “World Heritage Site” in 1978. The National Government and Municipio de Quito have taken actions to recover the historic district and to turn it into the most important tourist destination in Ecuador and in Latin America. The city of Quito has been distinguished as best tourist destination in Latin America for the last three consecutive years (2013-2016). CARLOTA offers a unique hotel in the heart of Quito. The rich design proposal renovates and restores the charm to a historical building while the interiors greet you with a modern and urban style, where each room has its own personality and style. CARLOTA has 12 rooms, each unique, in an area of 200 m2, for a maximum capacity of thirty-five guests. CARLOTA guests and visitors can enjoy three main public spaces: the BISTRO where you will be able to have the complimentary breakfast buffet for our guests from 6am to 10am, open to the public from 11 am to 7pm, for a unique urban culinary experience; the TIENDA where you will be able to purchase all products and signature dishes to go; and the LOUNGE, an inviting roof top bar with a magnificent view of the historical district to enjoy drinks or snacks, open continuously for guests and open to the public Thursday thru Saturday from 5:30 pm a 12am.
