Dirty Girl Lodge (Farm) - Bluefield West Virginia

Take a step back to the Heart of Appalachia on a farm that has been in my family for the last 75 years. Sitting on 40 acres, convenient to the Hatfield and McCoy Trail System (8 miles away ) - this property allows you to enjoy the mountains without roughing it! Enjoy horse shoes, corn hole, volleyball and hiking during your visit. A propane grill is available for your use on the large back deck. This property has been home to three generations of farmers who have loved the land and all it provided. In the 1940's moonshine was still rampantly produced in Appalachia and this property was the site of several family still operations. This home sits just 250 ft off the main roadway. I will be available by phone for emergencies. There is a caretaker that lives next door to the property and can assist in an emergency. This location is very rural residential. Although you have access to roam the recommended trails - please use caution as this is Appalachian woodlands. Please do not cut any trees on property. Firewood is provided for use in the outdoor fire pit. No ATV riding is allowed on the property. Trails are available to hikers and mountain bikers only. You can drive an ATV along the shoulder of a highway or road for up to 10 miles at a speed of 25 miles per hour or less. There is trail access within 8 miles of the property so you may park your trailers and ride the ATV to the trail head from this property. You will have access to a fully equipped kitchen. A regular coffee maker as well as a Keurig is available for your use. There are TV's in the living room and Master bedroom. These TV's are not cable enabled. Wi-Fi is available. Please note that the property does not have municipal water service - water is furnished by a well. Air conditioning is available in all bedrooms.
