Classic turn of the 20th century triplex, full of architectural details and world eclectic decorations. Space includes a gourmet kitchen, formal dining room, living-room, 3 large ensuite bedrooms and a garden. We are walking distance from the Apollo Theater, Columbia University, trendy restaurants, markets, jazz venues, gospel churches and a convenient 20 min subway ride to Times Square. Perfect place for couples, families, friends, (film crews additional daily fee). We are a legal NYC Airbnb. This is a luxurious home in the heart of the lively neighborhood of Harlem. Gourmet eat-in kitchen, elegant parlor floor (that includes a formal dining room and living-room with a grand piano) make it unique. It is very unusual to have so much space on the island of Manhattan. The lush backyard garden has outdoor furniture a gas grill and a Japanese koi pond. The front patio is also beautiful and a lovely place to enjoy the neighborhood activities. The four-story house has two residences with a common entrance. The top 4th floor is where the owners live and the triplex is rented to Airbnb guests. The staircases give access to all floors. No elevator. Due to COVID19, we have increased time lapse between visitors to disinfect the whole house and ensure scrupulous hygiene. We are both fully vaccinated and expect the same of all guests. We want everyone to feel safe! We will meet, welcome and show you about the house. Following this greeting, the 3 floors will be yours exclusively. Our apartment is on the 4th floor and we will only use the stairs and front door. You will have our phone numbers and contacts to facilitate your stay. We will provide you with tips on where to go, what to visit, how to discover the neighborhood and the city to make your stay truly wonderful. We promise it will be memorable experience! The neighborhood is absolutely fantastic, safe and friendly. Today’s Harlem is the place to be! It is now full of trendy restaurants (Red Rooster), lively jazz venues, up-scaled supermarkets (Whole Foods), new condos, and other amenities. This northern part of Manhattan is extremely well connected to the whole city. There are three subway lines within walking distance, buses, loads of taxis, easy parking (free parking on the street and affordable parking garage a block away). The People's Brownstone is 5 minutes walking from the main subway lines: A, D, B and C station at 125th street; 2 and 3 at 125th and 135th stations; not far from the 4, 5 and 6 at 125th street. Buses and taxis are available, but also Lyft, Uber, etc. are good services. So you will not have to wait for anything. Shopping places 24/7. Extra treat for jazz lovers: Quintessential Harlem! Now that the city has just about returned to pre-Covid conditions you will have access to several jazz venues within walking distance. One is s a very special, secret Jazz joint only a block away! The best fried chicken and shrimp dinner in Harlem. Amazing live music! Many guests have called this the highlight of their NY experience. Very reliable public transportation (subway and bus) is a short walk away. Taxis and Uber always available. Free and safe street parking is on a first come basis, reasonably priced (for NYC) parking garage is one block away. For your convenience, there is a washer and dryer in the kitchen. Also a variety of pantry items ( coffee, teas, cocoa, sugar, flour, olive oil, spices, and much more) for your use. All three bathrooms have hair dryers.
