Coop Cabin, a Tiny Alaskan Cabin with Denali Views

We acknowledge the Alaska Native nations upon whose ancestral lands our cabins reside. In Nenana, our Coop Cabin is located on the ancestral lands of the Tanana Athabascan people. Have a true Alaskan experience as you cozy up in this tiny cabin with a view of "The Big One." You'll be a stone's throw from the iconic Nenana river and famous Alaska Railroad, with plenty of opportunity for moose sighting. Located an hour (55mi) south of Fairbanks and an hour (60mi) north of Denali National Park. This cabin has been recently renovated as our cozy guest house with 325 ft² of living space, as we have just finished working to complete construction of a separate family home. Our cabin space is a perfect blend of modern design and amenities, and Alaskan rustic elegance. It is conveniently located in Nenana, directly between Fairbanks and Denali National Park and Preserve. For those hoping to get the quintessential Alaska experience, our cabin is perfectly situated on 5 acres of privately owned land surrounded by Alaska State Land. From the deck, you will be able to watch the famous Alaska Railroad pass by on the horizon. On quiet evenings, you can hear the wood frogs in the tundra and watch birds from the cabin deck, often seeing and hearing sand hill cranes, trumpeter swans, ptarmigan, loons, eagles, owls and robins, surrounded by miles of wilderness and nature. Our cabin is at the end of the road, away from chaos, providing excellent privacy.  There is a full kitchen; refrigerator, gas range, microwave oven, coffee pot, and a water kettle. This cabin is in a very quiet location with views of Denali. As guests, you'll have private access to the entire cabin for the duration of your stay. You will have your own slice of heaven with beautiful Alaskan views and a comfortable patio to enjoy. Our main house is located 300 feet away from the cabin; if you need assistance, we can immediately be of help. Our home is 3 miles south of the City of Nenana, population 363. Nenana provides travelers with a gas station, a few dining options, and Coghill's General Store, which has been open since 1916 and is open year round. At Coghill's, you can find local crafts, groceries, hardware and much more.  Free parking is available on our property; multiple vehicles can be accommodated. Many residents of Alaska choose to live full time in a dry cabin, a cabin without running water. Our outhouse is comfortable, heated, and clean. Purified water is provided for hand washing and cooking. Gray water is collected under the sink and must be emptied by guests.
