Make yourself at home in this beautiful Colorado vacation home that backs to open space, centrally located for easy access to Denver, Boulder, Rocky Mountain National Park, & the mountains. Bike trails & parks in the neighborhood, great local restaurants, and a reservoir with walking trail nearby. Great location close to Denver and Boulder about 20 minutes away, and the mountains are easily accessible via I25. The house has hi-speed wifi with a Nighthawk modem router + a private office with a big desk and window overlooking Aspen trees. Gourmet kitchen with stainless appliances and everything you need to cook and bake. Sunny deck overlooking the greenbelt off the kitchen for lounging and relaxing. Also has a full size gas grill. The family room has a 70" TV, comfortable couch with soft pillows, lounge chairs, and an ottoman. Downstairs in the walkout basement is a private mother-in-law suite with a kitchenette, office, living room, bedroom with a queen size bed, 3/4 bath, three sided gas fireplace, and French doors that open onto a covered patio. My favorite thing about this house is the sunrises. You can watch them from the kitchen table as you drink your morning coffee or have breakfast. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the three additional bedrooms have queen size beds, all with comfy bedding for a great night's sleep. In all the bedrooms you'll find ceiling fans, lamps, and nightstands for your comfort. Additional pillows and blankets in the closets. The bathrooms are fully stocked with towels, hand towels, washcloths, tissues, shampoo, conditioner, and body, face, and hand soaps. Erie has a quaint downtown area just a short drive from the house with great restaurants, coffee shops, and people watching. Bike trails and parks are also in the neighborhood, and a reservoir with a running trail around it about one mile away. Unique things about this home: The sunrises. About 15 minutes before the sun comes up the sky turns amazing shades of blue, pink, orange and yellow. Just open the slider in the kitchen and you can’t miss it. The house has a mountain theme, and the knobs and pulls on the cabinets are hand-carved from shed deer antlers. The evening sky is also not to be left out. You can see it just off the front porch. Upstairs, from the master bedroom, there are views of the Boulder Flatirons, the famous three mountain tops above NCAR (The National Center for Atmospheric Research) in Boulder. The tall, usually snow-capped peaks in the distance to the north are Mount Meeker and Longs Peak- a popular Colorado fourteener. On calm mornings during the warm months you can often spot hot air balloons in the sky to the east. They launch all over Erie as it is the Front Range’s most popular hot air balloon adventure destination. The neighborhood is quiet. There's a park two blocks away and a few pizza spots within one mile. There are many mornings you can see hot air balloons in the sky if you catch them early enough. There is a bistro in downtown Erie called 24Carrot. Try their brunch. You won't be disappointed. Or their home-made soda waters. There’s a bus stop (RTD) at the Erie Community Center that takes you to the airport, Denver, and Boulder. Early check in and late check out are available by request.
