The location is close to Mass Pike, route 128 and route 9. It is a 15 minute walk to the Green Line -D route-Eliot Stop The entire space was recently renovated. The closet in the bedroom has room for hanging your clothes. There will be cold water in the small refrigerator and a Keurig coffee maker for your enjoyment. The shower is spacious. We'll have plenty of towels, pillows and blankets for your use too. You'll have access to the entire level the unit is on. No shared spaces. My adult son is usually available (in the same house - one level up) and I'm only an hour away at most. Newton is a very safe city and the neighborhood of the unit is super safe. It's a neighborhood where people actually know and help their neighbors. The area was the first to be settled in Newton. Many of the homes (we have a historic commission) in the area reflect the history of the late 1800s. The area was settled first due to its proximity to the Charles River. Newton is a safe city and our location is super safe. There are hundreds of places to eat within a 15 minute drive and there are 4 restaurants within walking distance. Dunn & Gaherin's is the closest and it's the most popular Irish pub in Newton. The Biltmore is a hot spot with craft beers. Jean and Lee's is a great Chinese restaurant-super for take out or eating in. There is also a pizza/sub place called Brickfire's nearby. All are within a 7 minute walk. There's also a authentic Chinese restaurant for take out or a no frills eat-in experience-Jeanne and Lee's Kitchen. We bought the house due to its location. The Mass Pike, route 128 (aka 95), route 9. The T is a 15 minute leisurely walk. It's the D line which is the best--fewer stops. You can be in downtown Boston once on the train in about 30 minutes. There will be coffee for you to use with the Keurig. Half & Half and water will be in the refrigerator too. If arriving at night, lights will come on as you go down the stairs. You can leave the key in the unit, so no need to put it back in the lock box.
