Vista Montemar is a comfortable two story house overlooking the Caribbean Sea in a serene and secure gated community. Two spacious L-shaped verandas and a rooftop terrace afford panoramic views and the best in outdoor living. Ceiling fans throughout the house and verandas plus a/c units in bedrooms and kitchen add to the comfort provided by the ocean breezes. Bask in the gorgeous tropical flora and be lulled to sleep by the sounds of coquís (Puerto Rican tree frogs) and island birds. In the quiet of the early morning or late evening, you can even hear the surf! The kitchen comes fully equipped, the house is tastefully furnished, and has a separate, indoor laundry room. Each of the three bedrooms has its own door leading to the second floor balcony, and window shades to block the early morning sun, if desired. The centrally located upstairs full bathroom is shared by all three bedrooms. There is also another bathroom on the first floor, which features an attached outdoor shower, and a separate outdoor shower behind the house which is for rinsing off the sand after a day at the beach. Ample outdoor seating is provided in both covered verandas, as well as two hammocks on the second story veranda. A spiral staircase leads to the rooftop terrace, where additional patio furniture and a huge umbrella create a relaxing environment in which to enjoy a cool drink amid stunning panoramic views by day and a starry sky by night. The property is beautifully landscaped with all manner of tropical flora, including flamboyant trees (the official tree of Puerto Rico) and amapolas (the official flower). There is plenty of parking space within the gated property. Our resident cat, Vera, is strictly an outdoor cat that lounges on the balconies and is fed daily by caring neighbors. Vera had been taken to a new home on the other side of Yabucoa, but found her way back to Vista Montemar after a year, and no one has the heart to relocate her again. Guests to Vista Montemar have welcomed and befriended Vera.
