Macaws, parrots, toucans, iguanas, monkeys and more can be seen right outside your door. This lovely bungalow will provide comfortable accommodations during your stay in Pavones. Guests enjoy access to a shared pool, game room, private restaurant (serving breakfast & lunch everyday 7:00 - 3:00), free morning coffee, laundry service, secluded beachfront. We have used our years of experience and installed all the amenities to insure that every guest leaves ready to come back and stay with us again. This boutique resort has a quiet and secluded location just outside of the town center. La Ponderosa beachfront has a sandy swimming area for playing in the water. The jungle meets the sea on this beach and it is a perfect place to relax in the shade and take in the view. Visitors and locals enjoy an incredible view across the Golfo Dulce to the Osa Peninsula. You can explore tide pools all along the coast. The beach faces west and is famous for spectacular sunsets. There is really no night life to speak of, there are a few local bars to have a beer and several local eateries. A great Italian restaurant/bar is just a 5 minute walk away. Also there are several other local eateries in the vicinity. This is the perfect destination for surfers and nature lovers. After surfing one of the longest point breaks in the world you can enjoy pure relaxation with a massage or lounging by the pool while your lunch is prepared. Pavones is located in the Golfo Dulce, home to world famous nature reserves. It is a great place to see wildlife. You won’t be disappointed when you wake up to the sounds of the waves and jungle. The bungalow located where the jungle meets the beach about 1.5 mile south of the Pavones town center or 2.5 miles north of the Punta Banco town center. It is 7 hour drive from San Jose, 4 hour drive from Dominical or 1.5 hour drive from Golfito. We can assist with car rental arrangements. A SUV is recommended for the roads in beach areas of Costa Rica. There are compact, mid-size, standard, full-size and premium SUVs available.
