The Spanish Colonial Style country house sits on 5.5 hectare (13 acres) with a private forest, fully equipment horse stable with space for 10 horses, 1.5 hectare (3.7 acres) fenced for horses and a horses exercise ring for riding lessons. The natural surrounding beauty creates the heart of this spectacular estate. Once inside the gate, you’ll see a 40-year old Magnolia tree in the center of the front garden. As you approach the front of the house you will see a porch, which is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the view before entering the house. Once inside you will be surrounded by contemporary art, which includes a number of paintings and an Ecuadorian Rainforest Amerindian Canoe, which welcomes you home. The open concept house, with 6-m (20-ft) ceilings, brings out the space in the (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)) home, and is ideal for entertaining and anyone who enjoys bringing people together. To the left of the main entrance there are two open living rooms which futures the main fireplace where you can relax and enjoy your stay with a freshly squished fruit juice, a glass of wine or a scotch. The master suite, as all other rooms, offer blackout curtains which block out any light so you wake up refreshed and well rested. The master bath offers a head shower for those of us who want to feel like we are under a waterfall or a Jacuzzi for those who want to relax under the skylight and the stars. The two additional – fully equipped suites provide enough sleeping space for any additional parties or couples that may be attending. As you walk towards the center of the house, the interior courtyard patio is the perfect place for you to enjoy breakfast or a BBQ for lunch or dinner. The dinning room sits 12 people in a restored 100-year old viennese dining Table. Decorative Chinese plates imported by the owner from Zhouzhuang, China cover one of the dinning room walls. Some of the plates are as old as the Yuan Dynasty! If you enjoy Cooking, this house has it all. A new, open plan and spacious (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)) kitchen featuring a 3x1m Isle, 2 refrigerators, 1 stand-alone freezer and a bread/pizza wood burning oven (under maintenance), which makes entertaining an absolute pleasure. With an open view (optional) to the dinning room, this kitchen is the perfect place to cook and socialize using the world’s most natural and locally sourced ingredients. You can go for very nice walks around the state. Once you arrive we will recommend a few routes. If you have transportation (we can organize it for you - price not included), you can go an visit a near by lake, waterfalls, and/or do a picnic in some incredible locations. We have everything you'll need for a picnic. The estate is located 10-minute drive from Cayambe, where the finest Bizcochos con queso de hoja and Dulce de Leche (local biscuits with mozzarella cheese and Dulce de leche) will tempt every visitor. Drive 25 more minutes North and you arrive to Otavalo, one of the largest and Beautiful indigenous towns in Ecuador. On your way to Otavalo you’ll go through the San Pablo Lake. The Lake has an area of 57 miles and an average temperature is 18oC, which makes it perfect for water sports, such as wakeboarding or water skiing (rentals available at the lake). There are also very nice restaurants on the shore of the lake. We recommend "Las Cabañas del Lago. The famous city of Cotacachi for its leather goods and handicrafts is only 8 km (5 miles) from Otavalo and it's a great place to purchase very high quality leather jackets and other leather goods at very affordable prices. Visits to the above and other locations around the estate can be arranged with a private driver that we will organized for you (at an additional cost per day) or by a local travel agency, which arranges transportation and tours with a guide (also at an additional cost per day).
