ECO-cabin above the lake in Ometepe

We are a happy local family living by the lake Nicaragua, on Ometepe island. We have two eco-cabins to rent. They are simple but comfortable, made out of local materials such as wood, bamboo and palm tree. Oh! and we did it ourselves :) You can enjoy the common area, chill in a hammock, go for a swim on our private beach and enjoy our fresh juices. We also have a small restaurant where you can order delicious and homemade food! Everyone is welcome! Come enjoy the good chill vibes here! Your private bedroom is located in a wooden cabin just next to the lake. A few meters away, you'll find the shared bathroom. Come listen to the relaxing sounds of the lake :) Under the cabin, two hammocks are hanging for you to chill and enjoy the amazing sunsets! The cabin is rustic and has no fan nor AC, but in this location, you won't need it thanks to the breeze coming from the lake. It makes the air less hot and even repels mosquitos. Regarding the common area, you'll have access to the garden with long chair and hammocks, some tables for our small family-run restaurant and bar... And of course access to our private beach! We are a nicaraguan family, and there is always someone around to help since we live here and run our small restaurant. We can help you with organizing tours, renting bikes or so :) and are happy to meet new people. We are glad that our three children get to be exposed to people coming from all around the world! We are lucky to live in this QUIET and SAFE area surrounded by nature. We are 5km away from the town of Mayogalpa, located on the west coast of Ometepe island ---> best sunset!!! Unlike public beaches, ours is private and therefore way safer. You don't have to worry here about leaving your stuff when you go swimming for example! From Mayogalpa, take the main road for 5km. Then, on your right side, you'll see a wooden sign with an iguana, indicating "PLAYA SAMARITANO". That's us. Take that dirt road down. At the end, turn left, follow the signs indicating playa Samaritano for a few more meters... and there you are! You can hear the lake :) Use the stairs to get down here. If you have a rental vehicule, we have a safe free parking for you. 1. We all speak spanish in our family, but Toño understands some English. 2. This is a rustic, eco-friendly place. We pay attention to respect nature, as we live with it. Toilets are dry-toilet, the floor is dust and of course you might see some "animalitos" from time to time! Don't freak out :) there are some lizards, iguanas, frogs, cute fireflies etc. 3. We don't have hot showers, as in most places in Nicaragua 4. We have a well and you can drink the tap water safely if you want.
