Located in the heart of Arlington Center's Historic District, The Barn offers you the convenience, comfort, and privacy of a home away from home. We welcome you to use this space for a safe and cozy staycation in Boston! The Barn is adjacent to our Victorian Mansard home, built in 1872. We renovated its 900 square foot living space a few years ago and have been using it as a guest house since. Features include a home theater, an electric fireplace, a foosball table, and a popcorn machine. The kitchen is fully equipped and at your disposal. The shared patio is equipped with a BBQ, fire pit and ping-pong table. You'll have the entire barn to yourselves. The first floor includes the full kitchen and dining room while the second floor features the bedroom, full bath, and spacious living room with a cathedral ceiling and skylight windows. Our hands-off management style promises to give you all the privacy you'll need. That being said, we live next-door and will be happy to help however we can. We have a friendly nine-year old dog named Molly. Our son, Nathan, helps us manage The Barn and communicate with guests. Look out for messages from either of us! We live on a dead-end street in a small, cozy neighborhood in the historic center of Arlington. Arlington Center is a 5 minute walk from The Barn. It features a lovely strip of local cafes and restaurants. There is a CVS, Starbucks, and numerous food options including La Victoria Taqueria, Twyrl Pasta and Bistro, and Gail Ann Coffee Shop (great donuts). You can access the Minuteman bike path by walking down the driveway on the left at the very end of our street. Once you find yourself in a grass field, take a right up the dirt path to join the bike path. Spy Pond is just another 100 yards to the left. If you have a car, you may park in our driveway. If you don’t have a car, we recommend using public transportation or Uber to get around. The following MBTA bus lines have a convenient stop at the top of our street: 77: Arlington Heights - Harvard Square (via Mass. Ave.) 350: North Burlington - Alewife Station (via the Burlington Mall and Arlington Center) From Alewife Station, you can use the MBTA subway system to get anywhere around the Greater Boston area. We ask that you remove your shoes to go upstairs. You will find Wifi and entertainment instructions by the television. Upon check-out, please load and run the dishwasher, and take out all the trash and recycling. Bins are located outside, to the right side of The Barn.
