This non-smoking two bedroom/two and a half bathroom condo is beautifully updated with a fully equipped new kitchen, vaulted ceilings (with fans) and with high quality furniture throughout. Both the master (king bed) and guest (queen bed) bedrooms are also fitted with flat panel TV's. There is a queen sleeper sofa in a living room and self-inflatable tween airbed available. Our condo is beautifully decorated, maintained and very well equipped with everything you will need. Located directly on the beach at the popular Retreat Resort right in the heart of Rum Point in the North Shore. The condo has a highspeed wireless internet connection so you can surf the internet while sitting on the balcony watching the beautiful Caribbean blue water shine! This unit is located on the top floor, so noise from another units will not bother you, and comes complete with an absolutely stunning view of the beach and the see from the full length screened balcony. This is truly a family destination resort with more than enough activities available to keep everyone entertained for a week or more. The Cayman's weather and the powdered sugar like sand will make for an excellent vacation experience. You will enjoy your vacation from sunup to sundown. This resort is ideally suited for families with kids or romantic couples get away. RUM POINT SNORKELING - right at your front door is the best snorkeling in the Grand Cayman. Here you will find a minimum of 5 different areas in which to snorkel. Rum Point is an area at the northwestern edge of the sound. This area is one that you could probably spend your entire vacation snorkeling and still not see all of it. There is a barrier reef that parallels the shoreline and the depths in this area can ruin 15 feet to about 40 feet. This area is part of a marine sanctuary so there is a definite don't touch and don't take policy. The closest part of the reef in relationship to shore is about 20 yards out with the farthest being about 100 yards away. If you are not comfortable going out to the farther reaches, don't worry because their is plenty to closer to shore. Black Durgeon, Blue Tangs, Yellow Snapper are just a few of the fish that will be keeping you company. If you go out from the point itself you will be able to explore two areas which are called the coral gardens which offers some great photo opportunities. On your journey out you will pass over a sandy area where you might see some bright orange Cushion Starfish or Eagle Rays along the way. The best snorkeling is done on the inside portion of the reef. STINGRAY CITY - Excursions to the world famous Stingray City leave right from the dock just down the sand. This world famous location is 5 minutes by boat from our condo. STARFISH POINT - Five minutes away is the remote Starfish Point with amazing Starfish in their element! Wow! CAYMAN CRYSTAL CAVES - 10 minutes away is Crystal Caves - the island’s newest nature tourist attraction, Opened in 2016 after 20 years of careful planning and extensive works. BOTANIC PARK - 20 minutes away is located The Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park in the district of North Side on Frank Sound Road. It has a unique blend of natural beauty, culture and history. Enjoy a leisurely walk through colorful gardens, botanic, lake and nature displays. Stroll through Heritage Garden, enjoy the Tea House with its panoramic views, and the lake area which forms a natural habitat for the Cayman Blue Iguana and breeding ground for a variety of rare aquatic birds and animals native to the Caribbean. Car is necessary to get the most out of your vacation. Our beach is the only large, open water beach (not on the lagoon like other Cayman Kai/Rum Point properties) and is all sand (no rocky or iron-shore entry). While ALL beaches on Cayman are public, ours is secluded and pristine with beach chairs for the exclusive use of the Retreat guests. Located in the Cayman Kai/Rum Point area on the North side of the island, The Retreat is away from traffic and the noise of George Town and Seven Mile Beach, but close to excellent restaurants and recreational activities via either a short walk or short drive .
