Mom's River House...

The cottage sits on a quiet cove with few neighbors. It is an older Florida home with antiques and added modern comfort features...good air, filtered RO water (no need for bottled water), remodeled bath, canoe, kayak, paddle boat, and bikes. Peaceful and relaxing, big rocking chairs on porch, no worries The cottage is filled with antiques and represents a piece of old Florida and is like visiting grandma's house....but we have provided updated amenities...for comfort...and we have a fully furnished kitchen just remodeled and a new bathroom with upgrades and safety features. We have a fire pit with wood and a charcoal grill with supplies....Allen is nearby if something breaks or there is a need. Two large tvs with premium Dish Network and blue ray video with Netflix access. There is a smart tv in the master bedroom...cell phone charger for two in the living room...a sound bar...excellent wifi (if requiring work from home, check with owner.. No land line phone.) Allen has a couple of game chickens and one will crow sometimes... two docks...fish keeper and cleaner and life jackets and paddles...outdoor cooking area with wet bar (we furnish charcoal, lighter, and have cold water in the fridge....bike on quiet road down to the dam and there is a special cross Florida bike trail....put your boat in at the fish camp nearby and bring it around to the dock...plenty of parking for car or truck and boat trailer....bait nearby...Walmart in Dunnellon..state parks nearby: Rainbow Springs, Homosassa Springs, and KP Hole....Three Sisters Springs in Crystal River....with manatee tours available....We have a three night booking minimum...This is an entire house with a large yard. Access to large yard landscaped with beautiful flowers...docks...bikes, canoe, 14 ft. fishing kayak, paddle boat, ....entire house and outside wet bar and cook area with lights, outdoor seating and rocking chairs...indoor screened room suitable for dining as well...and there is a breakfast table and a dining table...washer and dryer....all cooking utinsilsneeds with microwave, stove, fridg, pots, coffee pot, slow cooker....electric skillet.... Allen lives next door to the north and will be available for needs and or for fishing info and (URL HIDDEN) much as you need him or as little....he does have wood for a fire at night....lights on dock as well....and lighter fluid as well...the shower has a dispenser of shampoo, soap, and conditioner...Bathroom has a teak seat in the new tiled shower...hand bars too. Steps do have handrails...steps are three on front entrance and two on back entrance... The neighborhood began as one room cabins back in the 20's...as families grew the cabins added rooms...we own three houses in a family compound with each painted deep green with white paint. Author, Gerard Walen....who is an expert on Florida Craft beer lives on site. Our neighborhood road dead ends on a canal and has a small group of older folk... next door also and to the south side is my brother, Glenn, who collects antique cars and hit and miss engines....everyone knows each other and in forty years there has not been any crime...quiet, peaceful, and safe. Our visitors love the old Florida vibe and the quiet neighborhood. You will need a car. There is no public transportation...If by plane, the nearest airport is Tampa International... rent a car there and get on the Veterans Expressway...north to Highway 98 and exit there and catch U S 19 and go north...see me for good directions to the house... There is a table in the hallway with local information available on things to do and places to eat....and after booking I can send a link to a video we made of things to do and see in the area....great area for fishing, boating, and springs...back to nature and quiet enjoyment...We have a drone video as well of the house and docks and river system. We do require a rental agreement basically outlining rules and acknowledging renters' responsibility in case of an accident...and the renter acknowledges responsibility in use of boats and safety equipment.
