Located at the point of secluded Playa Zancudo, sitting 20m from the beach, ZWB&B perfectly overlooks the Golfo Dulce and has one of the best views of Matapalo in town. All from the enormous and recently renovated veranda, you can see species of birds, butterflies, sloths, and monkeys. Pick various fresh fruits and nuts (when in season) right off the trees. Rich in Tico culture with a laidback vibe, this secret tropical paradise awaits you. ¡Pura Vida! Guests have access to their own private bedroom (1 queen & 1 twin) and bathroom which includes a large shower, full length mirror, hot water, and essential toiletries. The bedroom has a mini fridge, coffee maker, desk space, television, Blu-ray player, ceiling and floor fans to make your stay comfortable. Guests also have access to the large veranda overlooking the lawn and beach, which is a common space shared with the hosts. At any time the beach is just steps from your bedroom door! Guests have access to their own private bedroom and bathroom. The veranda is a common space shared by the hosts. Guests also have access to an outdoor shower. Hosts are happy to assist in preparing meals during your stay; however, guests do not have access to the kitchen in the main house. A BBQ pit outdoors is available for use upon request and a mini fridge is included in the bedroom. Your hosts, Emily & Taylor are delighted to make this a wonderful vacation experience for you. We would enjoy a cold beverage or the opportunity to cook a hot meal for you, but we will give you your space and privacy. Playa Zancudo is a small Peninsula in the southern most region of Costa Rica with the Golfo Dulce on one side and the Rio Coto & Rio Sábalo merging on the other. Both the sunrise and the sunset can be watched over the water! One 6 mile dirt road runs down the center of the peninsula to the point, where we are located. We have the best location for swimming on the beach!! There is one supermarket (within walking distance) and a general store (3 miles down the road). Great selection of restaurants in town, including American, Italian, and local cuisine. Your hosts are happy to prepare homemade meals for you (including vegetarian and vegan options) upon request. The merging rivers and gulf make Playa Zancudo an excellent place for fishing, whale watching, surfing, swimming, bird watching, kayaking and more! Come experience some of the warmest water in the Pacific!! Bikes, SUPs, surfboards, kayaks, fishing, and snorkeling gear are available for rent. Ask us about excursions, day trips, and things to do in the area. We are happy to arrange these experiences for you allowing you to sit back, relax, and enjoy your vacation without the stress of planning. To get to Playa Zancudo from San Jose, you can opt for a 45 minute domestic flight via Sansa Airlines, an inexpensive bus ticket via Tracopa transportation services, or a private taxi. We are happy to assist you in making these reservations and making your trip as convenient and affordable as possible. We recommend guests rent a car during their stay in Playa Zancudo; however, transportation can be provided by your hosts for up to 4 people upon request. (Additional fees apply.) There are NO TAXIS in Playa Zancudo, but bikes are available for rent and walking is safe. Take advantage of a vacation completely unplugged. Though there is no WiFi at ZWB&B, there is access available at the local restaurant within walking distance. Cell phone reception and data is reliable at the house and throughout town. We recommend guests rent a car; however, transportation can be provided by the hosts for an additional fee. There are no taxis or ATMs once you arrive in Playa Zancudo.
