Beautiful new 2 bdrm villa in Cane Garden Bay, steps to beach, restaurants & taverns. Villa has been totally renovated including split air conditioning in bdrms, fresh new baths kitchen w granite n stainless. Beach chairs. Price based on 2 guests using 1 bedroom, $40 per person per night extra using 2nd bedroom. Comprises upper level right side of house in pic, we have self contained water system and power if needed. WiFi working most of time. $40 per guest over 2 up to 6, so even if you have 6 or 7 guests only enter 6, the others would be no charge. Villa has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, completely new bathrooms, travertine tile floors, new windows, new split air conditioning units in bedrooms, fans in all rooms, great balcony, large family room, high speed internet & wifi,, washer and dryer (we ask for a donation for dryer use due to energy consumption please), 260 steps to beach (I counted em). It is uphill, I have to rest a time or two but we've only had one guest that struggled with the incline. Nice thing is it's only a couple minute walk to or from the beach so no car needed. The location is fantastic, enjoy sunsets from the balcony or the shower or from the decks of great taverns just nearby on the beach. Private keyless entry door with parking just outside. The villa is private and self contained just like an apartment. One bedroom has an en suite full bathroom, the other bedroom has an adjacent full bathroom. Large couch futon in front room and couch can accommodate people who draw the short straw. James & Janice Callwood live in the lower walk out level of the house. James has lived on Tortola his whole life and has raised a wonderful family here. His son Jason lives nearby, he owns a taxi service with brother Lionel and will be your on island contact whilst there. You can call him to schedule pick up and shuttle, he has a van that can accommodate 10 + luggage. The village of Cane Garden Bay even has Callwood's Rum Distillery hidden back in some of the old cane that used to be grown on the island. They are cousin's of the Callwood's whose villa you will be staying at. You can buy rum there, great for mouthwash or in a Dark n Stormy drink w Ginger Beer n lime. The island of Tortola is about family, is about doing the right thing, is about being good and doing good. Call Jason 2 on 8 his 4 cell 5 phone 4 to 1 schedule 3 shuttle 6 service 9 with 8 his van. This is what they had to do during WWII to get information through the lines, like a secret code, cripes. Contacting him in advance is best, he has a schedule book. He can also arrange to have a rental car dropped off at the villa for a day or two if you want to explore the island, that way you don't have to rent a car the whole time you are on island. Hey, you're on holiday, sit back on the balcony, take pause. Jason and his brother are a storehouse of local and historical information and it's fun to hear their stories. Cane Garden Bay has a wonderful small village feel. There are a half dozen restaurants, taverns, a rental shop that has paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel equipment for rent. After Irma, taverns are up and running, Myetts Beach Bar n restaurant, the Paradise Bar, The Irma Shack Street Bar, Quito's and Rhymers is really close by. None of these places have a parking lot, just beach taverns. Internet sorta works well in the villa.
