On our secluded private 172 hectare Wildlife / Rain Forest Reserve 1200 meters above La Suiza, Turrialba, sits our 360 degree hexagonal off the Grid Glass House surrounded by peace, tranquility, birds and volcano views. Many guests in the past said they were so very happy just being in the glorious high ceiling house appraising majestic views of the Volcan Turrialba & valley, Pacuare, Chirripo, & Talamanca mountain ranges + our own rain forest canopy. Hike, Ride, Swim, Bird watch, Fish, Relax ! Huge loft like elegant glass hexagon house with panoramic views situated at the end of a rural road with no power lines or vehicles passing through. We have wifi and solar panels for electricity. It can sleep 1 as it can sleep 10. Breakfast items are provided or we can make it for you if alerted with time. Should you want lunch or dinner, it can also be arranged as long as sufficient notice is given. We are excellent cooks! Early dinner or late lunch at $25 per person served family style. Your group will be the only ones in the main house level. Swimming at our private emerald pond surrounded by rain forest is an amazing experience that is just a 5 minute walk from the house! Gracious and fun horseback riding on our own well trained Pinto, Quarter horse or Costa Rica step horses and guided hikes on our reserve where you will not see other humans and fishing are available at a fair extra charge. Wonderful and exclusive Pacuare River white water rafting trips can be arranged with experienced guides and are highly recommended. The Pacuare River is among the 10 most cleanest rivers in the world. The days are warm, but the nights are chilly thus the fireplace. Hot water in both volcanic stone bathrooms and the 2 bedrooms on main level are very large with excellent views and bedding. If your group is 5 or more, you get full use of the downstairs with 3 beds and bathroom also with excellent views! No shoes in the house please! Only socks or slippers! ALL PHOTOS ON OUR LISTING ARE TAKEN WITHIN OUR PRIVATE RESERVE! You get the entire house's main level and are free to walk anywhere on the reserve and swim in our pristine emerald pond. We want you to feel comfortable, private and safe. Guided though hiking tours are recommended when going into rain forest or waterfall starting at $20 to $45 per person depending on where you want to go and how long of a hike. We can give a reduced guided hike group rate for over 5 people. The same goes for horse back riding which starts at $45!per person depending on how long and where you want to ride. Picnic lunches can be arranged as well as fishing in our Tilapia pond. Rubber at least mid calf boots are recommended or waterproof hiking boots. My husband, son, staff and I are close by for anything you might need and to customize your stay. Yes my family will be available! We are fluent in spanish and english. We will be staying on lower private level or in our private cabin at the entrance of the reserve. We have a maid and field hand available if need be. We are a 3 hour scenic drive from the San Jose airport, 50 minutes from the bustling town of Turrialba. We are at the end of a steep agricultural 4 wheel drive only 6 km dirt/rock road that in the last 2 km is very lightly transited and ends at our front gate. We can arrange a pick up from the airport as we can from La Suiza. The views of the Turrialba valley and volcano are spectacular! No other cars or vehicles pass the front gate but our own or yours, so privacy is superb. We are in our own peaceful, invigorating, visual world of 400 + acres. 6.5 kilometers below us is the town of La Suiza which has supermarkets, butcher shops, bank, church, pharmacy. You can get to us from San Jose airport by car, taxi or bus to the town of La Suiza, Turrialba. If you aren't driving a 4 wheel drive, we can arrange a pick up in La Suiza by a 4 wheel drive tax, us or by horse back up the 6 km dirt road that ends at our gate. You can even helicopter in directly from Tobias Bolanos airport. 1. We are at the end of a 6.5 km 4 wheel drive only road. It is best to come before 5 pmWe can arrange a 4 wheel drive taxi to pick you up if you do not have a 4 wheel drive vehicle in the small town of La Suiza at the bottom of our hill for $30. Please let us know with time if you need a 4 wheel taxi. 2. Full breakfast items are included in nightly price! 3. A main formal delicious all organic meal can be prepared and served formally at an additional cost of $25 per person between 2 - 6 pm. Our own organic roasted chicken, our own butter baked whole organic tilapia, certifies grass fed grilled Costa Rican beef, creamy tilapia coconut chowder, shrimp and sausage paella, vegetarian lasagna a la vodka or my handmade chicken or pork tamales are your choices. Please choose just one of the entrees for your group per meal ! Excellent South American wines, beer, cocktails are available for purchase at reasonable prices. Let us know what you like, and we will have it, and/or cook it for you. You also have the option to prepare meals yourselves and we can provide a cooler to store your perishables.
