Casa Canuck has an inviting combination of proximity, seclusion & complimentary conveniences that other rentals don't have! Located in West End, on the water, a very short walk to many scuba dive centers, bars, restaurants, shops, and grocery store. Escape the hustle & bustle of town while enjoying the quiet & peaceful setting of our property. Watch the hummingbirds, butterflies, geckos, parrots, iguanas & other wildlife from our dock or your own private deck. Included is free use of 3 kayaks. High ceilings, fans and many windows allow the island breeze to flow through the space. Our 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home plus loft, will provide you with all of the comforts of home while on vacation. Upon entry you will look down the hallway and out the large window with a beautiful view of the mangrove. Many windows will surround you with light and beauty. On the first floor you will find a private deck, a full kitchen, living room with couch and loveseat, dining room, powder room and laundry with stackable washer and dryer. Make your way upstairs where you will find 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a loft. The master has a King mattress, bathroom with walk in shower and private deck. The second bedroom has a Queen sized mattress and a second full bath with larger walk in shower. The loft contains a workspace or can also be used as an additional sleep area. A twin mattress can be added to this space for an additional charge. Both bedrooms and living room have air conditioning. Fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans, baking pans, storage containers, miscellaneous spices and condiments and much more. Rental includes the use of 3 kayaks, 2 singles and a double (first come, first serve), includes washer and dryer, linens, towels and basic supplies. New swimming pool in October 2021. Bottled water and all utilities included except electricity (Reco). Guest usage will be billed to guest at power company rate of $0.45/KWH. Meter will be read at beginning and end of stay. Guests have access to meter and can monitor their utility consumption. Guests will be billed for electricity on checkout day via Airbnb (or if you prefer you can pay cash at checkout). Internet is Reytel Fiber with dedicated connection to the building. It is the best available here on the island. We have also recently (April 2021) installed a new WIFI mesh system that has improved connectivity throughout the building. We have had multiple guests this year that are working remotely from our building and having zoom meetings, etc. It is rare the internet service goes out, but if it is urgent for you to have constant connectivity it may be beneficial for you to have a back up data option such as mobile hotspot on your phone. This is your own private unit which encompasses the 2nd and 3rd floors of a 3 story building. There are 2 private patios off the back of this condo, and a sitting area in the front patio as well there are also shared sitting areas on the first floor. The dock has a bench and table for sitting and additional Adirondack chairs may be brought out, it is a common area and is shared by the 6 units in this building. Our units come fully equipped with everything you need from cooking utensils to linens to beach towels, kayaks and the list goes on. We also provide all the essentials to get you going such as: 4 rolls of toilet paper, 2 rolls of paper towels, one bottle of dish soap, one bottle of hand soap, one bottle of shampoo, and one bottle of shower gel. Please note that we do not refill these items. If you need more you can pick some up at Woody's grocery mart right down the street. Your unit comes with a washer and dryer but you will need to purchase your own laundry detergent.
