Casa de las Aves: Oropendola Room with king bed

Welcome to Casa de las Aves. Our space is unique at the Laguna as a small guesthouse with a private beach. One side of the property abuts conservation land which is filled with birds, monkeys and butterflies. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Our restaurant serves healthy, local, vegan and vegetarian food. A delicious breakfast is included. Enjoy tropical fruit smoothies, with or without the famous Nicaraguan rum on one of our patios overlooking the laguna. Our guests can use the wonderful patios, dining room, bar and beach. Our gardens are super fun to wander through. Make yourself at home! We also have a small restaurant offering complimentary breakfast, as well as lunch, dinner, and drinks daily. We offer a vegetarian and vegan menu, and we work with a local farm to provide fresh, organic ingredients whenever possible. Guests can access the entire property. Two terraces, the beach, the bar and outdoor shower. I am often at the Laguna but when I'm not, you will be well taken care of by our lovely Nicaraguan staff. Breakfast, housekeeping and night security are included. Our guesthouse is located in a crystal clear caldera lake. The property is beachfront. The Laguna is lightly populated with Nicaraguans, foreign homeowners, small hotels and restaurants. In addition there is a Spanish school close by and an eco station. From there you can take guided hikes and bird tours. We have a great taxi available upon request. There are two daily buses from the Laguna. Our neighborhood is beautiful, safe and very fun to walk in. There is a fabulous restaurant next door!
