Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck while watching the lobster boats pulling traps or the bald eagles soaring overhead. This tranquil beach house sits on 37 acres on Cape Breton Island. This tastefully decorated home sits overlooking Mira Bay. Enjoy the huge deck and explore the surrounding woods and fields or walk down the path to the shore. Nature abounds with wildflowers, butterflies, wild strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries and the occasional seal in the bay. The house sits 800 meters from the highway. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the beautiful property. The house is fully equipped for a comfortable stay. There is a keurig coffee maker and the fridge has an ice machine. There is a screened in area on the deck with a table for dining outdoors. There is a campfire area in the backyard. Wifi will be hooked up in May 2020. There is cell service on the property. Guests have access to entire house and property, except for the unfinished basement. We are reachable by email or texting during your stay. Family in the area are also available if we cannot be reached. The house is a 5 minute drive to Mira Gut beach and about 12 minutes to Port Morien sandbar. It is a 25 minute drive to the Fortress of Louisbourg. The Newfoundland ferry is 40 minutes. The city of Sydney is 31 km and Glace Bay is 25 km. The house is in a great location to explore the island. The home is located in the country therefore there is no public transit. There are great coastal hiking trails in the area as well as off road trails for quads and side by sides nearby.
