Great 1 bedroom in a central location, set back from the street with a beautiful roof-terrace with city and mountain view. Fully equipped and furnished, close to the airport, San José, train/bus stations. Historic Heredia is a small city, very walkable, with everything you could possibly need within a few blocks! The apartment is tastefully decorated and very comfortable with the terrace for outdoor time. Intercultura's cultural activities and support staff are at reception (across the street) As our guest, you have the option to use our facilities at Intercultura Language school across the street, for ideas or travel help, activities, support staff, language class, salsa, yoga, zumba, and much more! You will meet other travellers and students, both locals and foreigners, a great way to integrate into the community if you plan a staying a few days or longer! Communal roof terrace with a view of the city and mountains, great for taking in some sun, reading a book, or relaxing with friends. Shared laundry room with 3 machines, drier and clothes lines. We can help you as much or as little as you like. Our staff is available Mon - Sat 8am - 9pm (5pm Fri and Sat) and speaks Spanish, English and some French and German! Our staff, at reception, is always willing to help out and offer good advice for things to do in and around Heredia. We can also book tours for you, and as our guests you will have a 20% discount on group Spanish classes should you wish to study the language while here. Heredia is a great city, it´s small, easily walkable, and has everything you need within a ten block radius... no car necessary! There is an olympic swimming pool and gym 2 blocks away, yoga classes, zumba, cafés, restaurants, bars, micro-breweries, university hangouts, fusion food, vegetarian restaurants, you name it. You can also escape to the mountains in minutes, Barva National Park and Volcano is 20 mins away and a wonderful day trip, or San Rafael and Barva are closer to home and can be explored in a couple hours, with parks, colonial arquitecture and a cultural museum all within a few minutes Taxi, bus or uber (download the app) - all are super cheap and fast, but walking is the best way to explore the city... head to the central park and the surrounding historical buildings, then over to the national university to walk on their shady grounds and check out what´s happening there. Parking is not available at the apartments. Most visitors prefer to explore town by foot and travel further distances by taxi, uber, bus, or train. If you will have a car, please inquire ahead of time for suggestions of nearby 24 hour parking lots.
