Meadowood Farm follows Vermont regulations. All guests at the Farm must be vaccinated. The Farm is wonderful in the summer; green everywhere. Fall foliage is fantastic with views of two crimson and yellow mountain ranges. The Farm is on 18 acres off back roads amidst several horse and dairy farms. The two Farmhouse Rooms are large rooms with king beds and ensuite private bathrooms with walk-in tile shower. The Rooms are on the second floor overlooking lawn, forest, and mountains. For the 2021 spring, summer, and fall season, all guests must be fully vaccinated. The Farmhouse Rooms are not available June through mid-August. Otherwise, one room is available June and both are available September and October. Note: Pricing is given as nightly per room. Both rooms with king beds and ensuite bathrooms are the same price. Meadowood Farm offers elegant and spacious accommodations. Located between the Vermont towns of Bennington and Manchester, the Farm offers days of wonderful recreation, touring, shopping and evenings at casual or fine dining restaurants. Bennington College is a mere 4 miles from the Farm down the mountain into North Bennington. The two Farmhouse Rooms are inspected and licensed annually by the Vermont Department of Health. The Farmhouse Rooms are available for rental periods of 2 or more nights and weekly from May through November. The Farm is a wonderful place during those months. Spring and summer offer warm days and cool nights. Central air conditioning is available for warmer periods. Foliage is exceptional as there are over 300 maple trees on the Farm's 18 acres. Sugaring season occurs during March each year providing maple syrup for spring, summer, and fall breakfasts. By November and December snow is expected. The Farm's two antique-filled king bed rooms with private ensuite bathrooms are on the second floor in the Farmhouse. Farmhouse Room 1 with a wildlife/water bird theme has a newly upgraded private tile bathroom with walk-in tile shower and soaking tub. Farmhouse Room 2 is larger with an English Garden, nautical theme and a smaller private bathroom with tile shower. Farmhouse Rooms accommodate two guests each. Any additional guests in the same party will occupy adjacent smaller rooms and at additional cost. Breakfast not included in the posted rate for Farmhouse Rooms. Daily menus are provided upon request and arranged in advance. Dinner selections may be made in the morning. The Farm food service is provided in the main dining area or patio overlooking our meadow, forest, and the mountains beyond. The Farm has from three to ten free-range chickens. Due to the vulnerability of our chickens and livestock, only one small to medium dog will be allowed at the Farm at a time. Horses may be boarded at a neighbor's stable. There are riding trails in the area. In addition to the antique-filled king bedrooms, guests of Meadowood Farm enjoy the comfortable living room with marble fireplace, fishing theme pictures, antique pictures, furniture, and books. Behind the Farmhouse is a slate patio surrounded by fieldstone walls. Comfortable patio furniture and picnic table offer an opportunity for outdoor dining. The patio overlooks a huge tree stand, an expansive meadow, and the mountains beyond. On-site is a paved parking area. Hiking through the Farm's 18 acres of forest and expansive meadow is an awesome experience. And the Long Trail, Vermont's section of the Appalachian Trail, entrance is within a few miles of the Farm. Designer discount shopping, art galleries, antique stores, country stores, and museums are abundant. There are five covered bridges in the immediate area. Bennington College is four miles from the Farm. There is apple picking in the fall and farmers markets every Thursday during the summer. Guided fly fishing is arranged upon request. Horseback riding is a mile away. Hiking is available on the Farm's 18 acres of meadow, woods, and surrounding area. There are several state and county parks offering hiking, boating, and swimming. For family fun the Bromley Mountain Thrill Zone and Alpine Slide and TimberQuest Park are a short drive away.
