The Nordic Spa Experience in Albert Beach
Escape to your own Nordic Spa Experience. This modern cottage retreat entices you with a hot-cold-relax circuit in a quiet, forested setting. Imagine sitting in our large, powerful hot tub or the 10 ft cedar sauna. Then bring down your temperature at the water/snow cooling station, followed by relaxation and repeating the circuit as many times as you wish. This property makes it easy to clear your mind and reset. Quoted rates are for first 4 guests (for extra guests, add'l fees apply). This large, all-season cottage of over 1,750 sq ft will instantly put you in vacation mode this Fall/Winter. We have recently completed renovations to offer the same 5-star rated experience our past guests have enjoyed at our other Pelican family vacation rental (The Pelican Lodge). This includes a brand new bathroom, front deck, backyard gazebo, hot tub, sauna and new furniture and decor. At the Pelican Beach House & Nordic Spa, cook a meal to impress in the roomy kitchen with all amenities including stainless steel stove, dishwasher, microwave and oversized fridge. Eat breakfast or have coffee at the breakfast bar or in the large sunroom. A fully stocked Tea and Coffee bar is included, as well as salt, pepper, garlic salt and cooking oil. Enjoy filtered water in our purified water station. Visit with family in the living room for game night or a movie on the big screen Smart TV. The open concept living and formal dining room make it easy to not miss any reminiscing of the days events. The ambience of the 3-sided fireplace is sure to please. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the foosball table and many board games. There is a brand new 3 piece bathroom along with three bedrooms. The Ocean Suite is the master bedroom with a Queen bed, Smart TV and large walk-in closet. Our guest bedrooms include the Pelican Suite with a queen bed and the Woodland Suite with a twin and double bunk bed. The outside area includes a spacious "new" deck with dining for 6, extra seating and a BBQ. Roast marshmallows or look up at the stars with family or friends around our wooded and private bonfire pit in the backyard. Don't pack it! In the summer you have access to a cooler, child's wagon, beach toys (bucket, shovels, and more), beach chairs, umbrella and lounge mats. We have a cottage nearby so can assist you if needed. Otherwise, I am always available by phone or email. Albert Beach is a quaint beach village with a fun, casual vibe. You just know you have arrived at a place where you can simply just relax and wave to passers by (because they will wave at you!). Best of all, you are only a short 5 minute walk to Saffies General Store, Le Gouter Restaurant and a Beach apparel store. Did I mention the beach? Only a 6 minute walk to 2 miles of soft, sandy beach front on what feels like an ocean. A sandy water entrance makes this an ideal location for young families. And for a change of scenery, there are 5 other beaches within a 10 minute drive. The opportunities are endless. Hiking, Golfing and ATV trails right in Traverse Bay and surrounding communities will keep you busy too. Albert Beach is a natural, freshwater beach with fine sand located on the shores of Lake Winnipeg. It is north of Grand Beach Provincial Park off Highway 59, and on the south shore of Traverse Bay which faces Elk Island Provincial Park. Albert Beach boasts quaint vintage cottages, and the community has a gas station, licensed restaurant, and general store where they offer internet access and tasty coffee. It was named by the Canadian Northern Railway in 1914 for Prince Albert, the husband of Queen Victoria. Our nightly rate is for the first 4 guests. Additional guests can be added for $10/night (before service fees). Ask us how to get a discount off your stay when you bring your own linens*, which can be applied after you book. $50 off for up to a 4 night stay and $75 off for longer stays. * Sheets & Pillow Cases, Blankets/Comforters, and Large Towels (we still provide hand towels, face cloths and kitchen linens)
