Cottage in the ADK. No cleaning or pet fees

Cozy cottage, man cave, she shed, whatever you call it, it’s a fun space to stay while visiting the Adirondacks! We are located in the middle of 25 miles of mountain biking trails, cross country skiing, hiking and snow shoeing. Elizabethtown has a lot to offer if you want to stay in town, or a quick scoot to many other amazing towns. There are 4 access points to the trail networks within 2 miles! Be aware of the ever changing NYS covid travel guidelines! We are following Airbnb cleaning protocols. We have a HEPA filter on our vacuum and use bleach when washing linens. We have a newborn so I apologize for staying at a distance during encounters. The cottage use to be a carport turned meat shop turned flower shop according to the locals. It is an open space with a full bed and bathroom. Blow up air mattress available as well as a pack and play for the little ones, just let me know ahead of time. Custom made old barn wood daybed, bar top and table. Bathroom custom made with old barn tin roof and barn wood door. Please keep shoes at the door. Rinnai heating unit to keep you warm. 50” TV with most the subscription services: Apple+, Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, hbo, peacock, and amazon. (Sometimes guests log into their personal accounts and don’t tell me to log back in so if something is asking for a password, just let me know). Mini fridge, tea kettle and Percolator coffee for your convenience. Theres a dart board and pool table if you decide to stay in for the night! There's a campfire grate and cast iron pan for you to cook food outside over a fire. Weber propane bbq that is on wheels and you can move it wherever you want. The cast iron pan can be used on it. Please be aware to turn off the propane when done!!! If you would like an ADK basket waiting for you upon arrival, please let me know. It is $50 for local chocolates, maple syrup, beer, bread and cheese. (Tip: mix the maple syrup with butter and put on the bread...yummmm) Items change based on the individual makers availability at the time. If you want something special, just let me know! You will be sent an invoice through Airbnb. The cottage is all yours during your stay. There are 4 fire pits in the backyard that are available for your use. We have wood stacks everywhere and fire starter logs in the cottage with a lighter. Dogs are allowed but just know that our yard is not completely fenced in. (It is open for the driveway). If a wood fire is not your thing, we have a lean-to with a propane fire pit to enjoy drinks at night or coffee in the morning. The rocking chairs are our favorite so bring a blanket out and enjoy! Games available: cornhole, can jam, frisbee, ladder ball and tennis rackets for use on the court down the street. Everything is in our garage (cornhole hanging outside behind garage for you to use whenever) and we can get you whatever you’d like. During the winter there is an ice rink down the street with skates to borrow in the warming hut at the rink. I will be available next door if anything is needed. Interaction is as much or little as you’d like. There’s a plethora of biking, hiking, downhill and cross country skiing, snow showing, golfing and ice climbing within a 45 minute radius. If you need help finding a place to go, we can help. You are 2 miles from town which includes: Tops grocery store Stewart’s gas station Kinneys drug store Hospital Dollar store Napa Ford/Chevy/Jeep dealers Library Florist Adirondack History museum (closed in the winter) Bubs Pizza shop (open hours change often) Deershead restaurant and Inn (Dinner; make reservations) Thrift shop Golf course There’s Amtrak in Westport. But overall not a great Uber/Lyft area so bringing a car is best. If you are bringing a little one that needs a pack n play, or other items...let me know ahead of time and I will have everything in the cottage waiting for you. If you need the air mattress...let me know, I will have it blown up in the cottage waiting for you. If you are bringing a dog/s and would like a kennel, please let me know, I'll have it ready in the cottage for you. Parking: The cottage is on the left side of our house, but pull into the driveway on the right side of the house. Park at the sign. Let me know if you will have more than 1 car. Cell service: Verizon has perfect service and the new AT& T tower is up and running! The library, grocery and hardware stores have wifi too. *There is not a formal kitchen in the studio. It's a mini fridge with a mini freezer in it. We have basic items for you to bbq on the propane grill or over the wood fire pit. If you need something special...just ask :) If you are looking for something more private in the woods, keep an eye out for our new tiny home on Airbnb just 2 miles down the road! It will reopen after mud season 2022.
