The Garden House at Taino’ti- an idyllic retreat

Once you've reached the Garden House at Taino’ti you will literally want to remain there for the rest of your holiday. It casts its magic on all those who stay there. No- one to interrupt your peace or privacy, just birds, iguanas, the odd land tortoise. There are lots of spaces to explore in and around the house- open plan sitting areas, spacious terraces for dining, huge pool with plunge pool, a games room and bar with pool table. Lush gardens to wander in and hikes to High North and the beach The house has a feel of a large chalet- enough room on three floors for six people to feel close enough for a get together but with enough quiet corners and niches for you to have space to yourself. The mature gardens filled with tropical species surround the house- bringing hummingbirds right to your door and limes and mangoes in season fresh from the tree. Beyond the Estate you are enveloped by the forests of High North with open views towards the Caribbean Sea. It is a haven. The upper gardens on the Estate are all accessible to guests as well as those immediately surrounding the house. Wheelchair access is open to the bar , lower games room and terrace as well as the swimming pool and surrounding decks, covered dining terrace and gardens. All the accommodation and facilities of the ground floor ( 2 bedroom suites, sitting room and open plan kitchen) can also be accessed without steps. A villa manager can be at hand during working hours to help with any queries or bookings and is only a few minutes away. The forest of High North - with open views to the sea - surround the house and gardens so the utmost privacy is granted for you to relax in peace. The best beach in Carriacou ( Anse la Roche) can be reached by hiking downhill or driving to a spot closer if you don’t fancy the walk up! The intrepid among you can walk from the house up through the forest to the highest point in Carriacou, High North which has stunning views across the island The nearest village, Bogles, is a good twenty minutes’ walk downhill from the estate so hiring a 4x4 vehicle is a must. Guests have free use of three car parking spaces next to the house so accessibility is not a problem. There are three double bedrooms ((2 ensuite) with four- poster beds . The largest of these is set up for a family with two separate spaces under the eaves for children/ teenagers to share and a TV ( in addition to the one in the sitting room below). The other two first floor bedrooms are under the eaves (limited headroom) with double mattresses on the floor, ideal for the older teenager who needs privacy. All bedrooms have AC and the three larger bedrooms have ceiling fans in addition.
