Our lovely room^ plus private bath, kitchen access, and free parking is in a perfect location to visit nearby campuses of Lawrenceville Prep, Princeton Univ & Rider Univ or to hop aboard a train to NYC or Phili. The light and airy bedroom contains a queen size bed, full length mirror, an end table with a lamp, large area rug, a small corner desk with chair, a comfortable wingback arm chair, optional laptop tiltable stand, and a large closet with shelving unit. The room is on the upper level of our home. The updated bathroom is for your private use. WiFi is available in the whole house and the garden. This is ideal for the traditional overnight guest who wishes to eat a quick breakfast and be out and about sightseeing or at work during the day. ^An additional private bedroom with real bed is available as well for parties larger than 2 persons. ^We also have an additional separate listing available in our home on the ground floor. There is a new drive through Starbucks at the corner of Gordon Avenue, in front of the Lawrenceville School entrance gate. I don't offer a full breakfast, but I offer coffee (French press or Bialetti espresso). There is a great bagel shop and a gluten free bakery five blocks from the house and plenty of restaurants. If you are an early riser, you may wish to join me on a nature walk. We have an additional large fridge in the basement, there is usually plenty of room in the extra fridge. We do expect that you have activities planned during the day away from the house and that you will eat your lunch elsewhere as our kitchen is not open for lunch. It is open for breakfast and the occasional quick dinner preparation. Maximum guest time in the kitchen is 1 and 1/2 hours per day. Thank you! Professional musicians (only) who need to warm up for auditions may use the Steinway grand when I am not using it. Gene commutes to his office and I work at home in the mornings. Most afternoons/evenings I am in and out teaching music both in the home and in studios in Princeton and environs. I like to chat and am a natural encourager/mentor, but also need time to get my work done. When available, I am happy to drop off/pick up at Princeton J, Dinky- or Trenton- train stations. Our children attended a Midwest boarding school; one of our sons played football for P-ton University. We so appreciated B&B's when we visited our kids. Thus, we welcome students and/or parents who are visiting their children at one of the universities, attending alumni events, going to sporting event weekends, or visiting educational institutions in the area. This is a quiet family neighborhood with beautifully landscaped homes and friendly people. We are a 10-15 minute walk (0.6 mile) from downtown Lawrenceville where there is a wonderful bakery - Gingered Peach, a drive through Starbucks, a Gluten Free Bakery, the Bus Stop (#606) to get to Princeton and/or to the train stations (P-ton Station and/or Trenton Station), and other fine restaurants. The city bus (#606) stops on Lawrenceville's Main Street (.6 mile from our house). It is a quick bus trip north to Princeton University (approximately 15 min bus ride), or south (10 min bus ride) to Rider University. We are smack in the middle of an educational, cultural hub. Grounds for Sculpture - 20 min by car Rental Car pick up/drop off location - about 10 minutes by car The city bus is 0.6 miles away on Main Street-Lawrenceville, easy access to Princeton or Trenton train stations. Free off street parking in our large driveway. There is a large county park nearby with splendid nature trails. Near the campus of the Lawrenceville School, you can access the canal path to Princeton. If you need a ride to the train station or a nearby community and if I am available, I'd be glad to drop you off or pick you up when I am available. Of course, the whole area is accessible to the car phone app programs such as Uber, city taxis and the like. Discounts for longer stays are automatically generated when you enter your dates. I teach music in our home. We lived in NYC for many years and have been in the area a long time. We are glad to share our experience, travel tips, or answer questions about the area when we are able. We also lived in Europe for several years. Can you say Europhile? ^For families with children or those traveling in groups larger than 2 people, we have an extra private bedroom with a single real twin bed and an air bed if needed. There is an additional fee for more than two persons. That additional bedroom^ would share your private bath. For families and those who love to cook, we do not offer more kitchen access than about one and 1/2 hours per day, so if you like to cook all of your own meals and love to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, this is not a listing that will work well for you.
