Our home offers 1 to 6 comfortable rooms in our 1790 historic stone house available for weekend getaways or extended stays. Situated near the Majestic Hudson River with its spectacular views, hiking trails, iconic Storm King Mt. and flavorful arts and cultural venues and restaurants nearby. Our unique Artist's home with its old world charm combined with the amazing surroundings of the Lower Hudson Valley warmly invites you, adding that creative experience to your memorable stay. Private room available for getaways or business travelers. There are 6 brightly sunlit and comfortably decorated rooms situated on two floors of our historic home. This particular room "The Bikini Room" is on the 2nd floor features a full size bed, available for 1 or 2 adults. It is the largest room available in the house. Bathroom on the same floor shared with other guests. Private parking and relaxing grounds located near shopping and several Hudson Valley attractions including Storm King Art Center, West Point, DIA Art Museum, and all that the lower Hudson Valley has to offer. Private bedroom for sleeping and shared bathroom when/if other rooms on the second floor are booked. Patio for eating. Located in the Lower Hudson Valley of New York State our home is located near many historic and prominent tourist sites. Within 1 miles is the Last Encampment of the Colonial Army and the Purple Heart Museum at the New Windsor Cantonment. Within 3 miles is the amazing Newburgh Waterfront with the most spectacular River views and some of the best dining in the Hudson Valley. Within 5 miles is the arts community of Beacon, NY and the DIA Museum with wonderful gallery walks and farm to table restaurants along Main Street. Several Wineries and farm fresh produce locations are within a short driving distance. Within a 45 minute drive are the Catskill Mountains, the homes and studios of Thomas Cole and Frederick Church, both famous Hudson River School Painters, The FDR Presidential Home and Library, The Culinary Institute of America and The Vanderbilt Mansion and many other National Historic Sites. Within a couple of miles is Stewart International Airport with connecting flights to all major airport hubs. The Metro North Railroad is within 5 miles, which offers an easy ride of less than 1 hour from New York City. We are quite comfortably located along the 1-95, the NYS Thruway, traveling north and south, which intersects here with I-84, which travels east and west from Pennsylvania to New England.
