Rustic Private Island Cabin on Lake
(No running water or electricity) cabin on private island. Sleeps 11. Propane stovetop. Dishes, cutlery, pots and pans in cabin. Fire pit on property. Wood burning stove, wood available for purchase. Rowboat (Jonboat). Flush toilet (bucket of water from the lake). Skylights, some solar lights. Ample parking. Bring AA or AAA batteries for lighting. Best to bring your own flashlights or battery lanterns. 10 pm noise curfew. Arrival after 2 pm, leave by 11am. Private island with three bedroom cabin on lake with rowboat included. Front room 36 feet long with kitchen, dining and living room areas with wood burning stove, bring your own wood or purchase at the boat area or areas near by. Deck with beautiful panoramic view of lake. Picnic tables, deck chairs, beach chairs, fire pit, sandy beaches. Entire island is private for your use. Solar lights plus three sky lights in main room. There's also room to pitch tents with privacy. *During the pandemic, this island is the perfect place to get away. The only people you have exposure to is whoever you bring to the island.* Parking is on corner lot, off road at site of launch. Row boat, oars, launch, island, dock, cabin, beaches, firepit, gas grill, outhouse, wooded area, decks, picnic table and summer furnishings available for guest's use. Directives will be e mailed in advance regarding access to the property which facilitates self entry. Owner interaction via text, e mail and phone is on going as necessary. While on the island, surrounded by water, one has a sense of privacy. Tall pines provide shade while sunny, sandy, swimming areas can be accessed morning and afternoons. Memorable moonlit nights with firepit campfires create summertime magic. Living close to the land, in touch with nature, enjoying the weather, are characteristics of the island vacation. Bus transportation from Providence, RI is available to Chepatchet, RI. The bus stop is a couple miles walk from the island. While doable, it's not recommended to those who are not physically fit. Firewood for sale at boat launch, $10 a cubicle.
