Located in the Santa Cruz mountains, our home is surrounded by redwood trees and manicured gardens. Shinobeau, a vegan chef of healing cuisine will prepare a healthy Japanese breakfast using local organic vegetables and selected natural condiments. Additional meals provided for $25 (lunch or dinner including salad & desert for one person). We speak English and Japanese. And only a 10 min. drive to 1440 Multiversity. Japanese themed house in the Santa Cruz mountains just minutes from the beach and Silicon Valley. Guests stay in large, private in-law suite with a loft, fireplace and a private bathroom with a heated Japanese "washlet" (toilet). Leather couches, large windows and plenty of room to spread out and relax...or work. Large deck with outdoor furniture for lounging under the stars. Clean mountain air and redwood trees surround you in this quiet enclave. Lots of singing birds and butterflies during the day. Dress warm since it gets chilly in the mountains! Please note that there are stairs to reach the main house. Loft bedroom is upstairs as well. Please park your car at the bottom of the driveway in front of the light post. You are welcome to drive to the top of the driveway for un/loading your items. Please climb the stairs to the top deck and enter the unit at the sliding glass door. There is a lockbox for 24 hour access but we are usually home to allow entry. Guests are provided a key during their stay. Given the COVID-19 situation, we will provide you with additional solitude and distance for safety. We respect the privacy of guests and will engage/assist as much as you'd like. We are familiar with the SF Bay Area and Monterey Bay so feel free to ask us! The Glenwood area is located in Santa Cruz County and is registered as California Historical Landmark #449. Majestic redwood trees and mountain streams surround this former pioneer town. Come and breathe the clean mountain air to rejuvenate. You may see deer, wild turkeys, foxes, raccoons and other wild animals so please use caution...especially when driving on the winding mountain roads. Typically, you can hear owls during the night and see many different bird species during the day. Lots of bicyclists so please be cautious when driving. Head south to beautiful Santa Cruz, Monterey and Carmel or head north to the Silicon Valley, San Jose and San Francisco. We are very conveniently located. Public transportation does not service our neighborhood. However services such as taxis, Uber etc. are available. We can also arrange airport pick up for a fee. Please note that this is a heavily wooded location and we are subject to power outages during inclement weather. We have a backup generator but there may be limited amenities during a power outage.
