Jungle Tambo Stay - Connect to Nature

Surround yourself by natural beauty, in the jungle 20 mins outside of tarapoto. Katari center has 22 jungle tambos including 11 on stilts and 11 grounded rooms. Each room has a private bathroom. This authentic jungle stay has wifi but no electricity. We do have solar batteries to refill your devices. We are offering you the opportunity to connect with the jungle and yourself. We have a small river running through the property and a large shared kitchen plus a large ceremonial/ yoga space. Katari is great for large groups, families or a single person to stay. You can book us for parties, weddings or day to day stays We have running water from a natural spring and use organic materials for most of our construction. We grow some of our own food and many medicinal plants on the property The maloca (ceremonial space) has a nice flooring and mosquito netting around it. It’s a beautiful natural space for yoga, meditation or creating art The river is shallow but has a few spots that are great for swimming and our view from the top platform is beautiful There is a family who lives on the property and they can help you with whatever you need anytime. I am also just a phone call away We are in the jungle so you will need to come prepared for your stay with bug repellent and a mixture of long sleeve shirts and pants plus shorts and T-shirt’s for when it’s hot. We recommend spending time reading, relaxing, making music or art or doing one of our various tours We have a motocar onsite and a large suv. Both are used for transportation in and out of the center for an extra charge. Tarapoto city is 20 mins from our center and the road to our center is jungle driving. We recommend you use our transportation if you don’t have experience with this type of driving First arrival and departure transportation is free. We have internet on the property in the kitchen space if you need connection on your cell phone we recommend you buy a SIM card from Entel. Other providers do not have connection on the property.
