Los Almendros is a beachfront development on Playa Ocotal; a well protected 1/3 mile long beach with black sand at one end and light sand on the other. Playa Ocotal is a clean, safe, beautiful beach. The protected shoreline provides guests a quiet, peaceful place to swim, snorkel and relax. Los Almendros is beautifully landscaped with three swimming pools, two outdoor barbecues, and a rancho that is perfect for watching the spectacular sunsets. The front office staff will be glad to answer any questions and help arrange activities in the area. This modern, secure, gated community has 44 units. Our unit, #11 has a view of the Pacific Ocean from the back deck and the front door is just steps away from the pool. It is equipped with cable TV, a DVD player, telephone and WI-FI. The condo has a collection of DVDs and CDs for your enjoyment. Our condo has a full kitchen with dishes and utensils so you can prepare your own meals. However, there are also a couple of restaurants within walking distance and many more just a short drive away. The popular Father Rooster's restaurant on Ocotal Beach serves great food and drinks in a casual atmosphere. There are grocery stores, banks, restaurants and gift shops in the town of Coco, about 3 miles away ($5 taxi ride). You can go to sleep to the sound of the waves on the beach in the master bedroom, which has a queen bed, private bathroom, and access to the rear deck. Enjoy watching the birds, butterflies, iguanas and other Guanacaste wildlife while you drink your morning coffee on the deck. There is a second bedroom with two twin beds and a guest bathroom. All linens are provided. Guests have access to our washing machine and dryer. There are separately controlled air conditioners and ceiling fans in each room. You can take day trips to experience Costa Rica or have a fun evening in town and then return to relax at Los Almendros. It is the perfect place for a family vacation. Covid-19 Practice and Procedures Almendros strictly enforces the directives from the Department of Health: • There is a sanitizing station for anyone entering the reception area. • Guests pay a $10 deposit for a gate key to enter the property without leaving their vehicle. • Guest are issued bracelets to identify individuals with access to the pools and public areas. • A professional service trained our employees on proper cleaning procedures for the rental units and common areas. • Houses and facilities are cleaned with specific products that eliminate Covid-19 after every check out. • Our pools have a maximum of 75% of their occupancy. • Staff spray common areas 3 times a day with special products that eliminate Covid-19. • Common areas have the necessary supplies for users to apply cleaning protocols. • Government mandated beach access hours are: Monday to Friday from 5AM to 10PM; Saturday and Sunday from 5AM to 8PM
