Historic decor:kings board paneling, exposed beams, two wood burning fireplaces.(firewood, kindling included).Fully equipped kitchen stocked with cooking staples and Keurig coffeemaker, blender,toaster, microwave, gas range/oven. Summer charcoal Weber BBQ and outdoor fire pit available. Great wifi, two writing desks, Roku television in library. Private location ideal for summer/fall getaways,winter skis, lazy relaxing weekends. There are over 100 blueberry bushes next to the house available for picking in late July and early August. The Cottage will be completely yours. The backyard is private with twenty acres of flat accessible land to explore on foot or on snowshoes. The barn near the Cottage has extra firewood and sets of croquet, badminton and whiffle ball for summer fun. There is a picnic table and outdoor seating under the trees. We live nearby and are available by text, telephone,or e-mail as needed. But we respect our guests' privacy. Very rural, quiet and historic area of NW CT. In addition to the Colebrook Store, Colebrook Town Center has a post office, Town Hall, Historical Society, Church and summer recreation and swimming facility, all readily accessible. Hiking, biking, pond swimming close by. Norfolk Summer Chamber Music and Infinity Music Hall (year round) are ten minutes away. Tanglewood and Jacobs Pillow (dance) within forty minutes (closed 2020 due to COVID 19) A wide variety of dining options within thirty minutes or closer. Homemade breakfast and lunch are available daily at the charming Colebrook Store, 1 mile away. The Village of Norfolk is 10 minutes away. The very popular Norbrook Brewery pouring award winning beers is just 2 miles away.
