It enjoys amazing sunrises and sunsets, cool and comforting year-round breezes, idyllic views of the mountains and surrounding country side, and small glimmers of the sea. Located in the beautiful hills of Cochrane, Rainbow Hill Villa is an easy ten (10) minute drive from the city of Roseau, the Capital of Dominica, and only minutes away from town activities and a host of unspoiled nature attractions. The Rainbow Hill Villa building is modern and comprises two (2) spacious apartment suites, each with its own separate entrance and exit. » The upstairs suite, the main house, has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. » The downstairs suite contains a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. EACH SUITE, both upstairs and downstairs, is nicely furnished with generous sized kitchens, living and dining areas, cookware, dishes and other essentials, 2-3 flat screen televisions and more. There is excellent cellular phone service from the Villa. TOTAL BEDS UP & DOWNSTAIRS: 2 King beds, 3 Queen beds, 1 sofa bed and 3 pull-out chair beds. The maximum capacity of for this rental is 15 people, including children. Dominica has a very informal mini bus system that can be found on most main roads, including the main road adjacent to your vacation home, a short walkable distance away (suggest daylight travel only). MORE INFORMATION ABOUT RAINBOW HILL VILLA The property built in 2012 is accessed via a long paved driveway with the home having a decent set back from the main village road, in an area which houses residential buildings that are of the middle to upper economic class type. This upper floor home has 3,080 square feet of living space and comprises 3 comfortable bedrooms including a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and has its own veranda. A second bathroom, spacious kitchen with an abundant amount of cabinets made of local hardwood, a kitchen island and modern appliances, a combined living and dining room, large dining table, laundry room and an L- shaped veranda provides refreshing sea breezes, mountain and countryside views. The floors of Rainbow Hill Villa are covered in lovely ceramic tiles throughout and the windows are sash. Rainbow Hill Villa is approximately five (5) miles or a 10 minute drive from Roseau. The property is connected to all public utilities. The lower level of the Villa houses a spacious 2-bedroom apartment, constructed in mid-2016. A small one-bedroom cottage (separate building) was constructed in 2019 and is now open for rental. A Certificate of Approval was issued on October 7, 2020, certifying that Rainbow Hill Villa, Cochrane, Commonwealth of Dominica, was inspected by the Environmental Health Department and has demonstrated compliance with the Ministry of Health, Wellness and New Health Investments’ COVID-19 control measures, and the health and safety protocols for the Tourism and Hospitality industry of Dominica. For the health and safety of all, during the COVID 19 Pandemic we are only hosting one (1) single group of renters at a time on our multi-unit property. A copy of our COVID 19 Certificate of Approval is posted on this site. The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. We have enhanced our housekeeping routines, where possible, to help reduce risks and exposure to COVID 19; i.e., cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces; for example: tables, floors, doorknobs, light switches, faucets, sinks and kitchen appliances and such; availability and use of appropriate cleaning and sanitizing products, for the intended purpose and per manufacturer instructions, etc. While we have expanded housekeeping protocols to help minimize risks and the spread of COVID 19, we cannot guarantee or promise that Rainbow Hill Villa guests and invitees will not become exposed to and/or infected by disease-causing organisms such as COVID-19.
