Oceanfront 3 Bedroom Cottage - North Shore

Come unplug and unwind on the beautiful north shore of Nova Scotia. Our cottage is located on seven acres of land and is surrounded by trees; it is difficult to find a more private location than this. It is only an hour and half drive from either the Halifax International Airport or the Moncton International Airport. We just added WiFi as well as a mowed path and private stairs to access the shore more easily. Also new this summer is a firepit to add to the enjoyment of the cooler evenings. In response to Covid-19 we have implemented the following changes to our rentals: Minimum of 48 hours between rentals. Extra attention given to the following surfaces during cleaning (cleaning with disinfectant): doorknobs, light switches, fridge/stove handles, toilet, sinks, tabletops and counters. The cottage has three bedrooms and a large common area with cathedral ceilings. There is a newly renovated bathroom that includes a shower stall, toilet and sink. Our favourite room in the cottage is a large screened-in room which is perfect for enjoying the early morning sun as well as the late evening breezes. The common area has lots of seating as well as a futon that can serve as an extra queen-sized bed; if it gets chilly at night there are baseboard heaters throughout. There is a well-equipped kitchen that includes a Keurig coffee maker. The cottage is located on a private parcel of land just off the Sunrise trail (Highway 6). With seven acres of land and lots of trees you might not realize there is anyone else in the area. The land extends down to the Northumberland Strait and has a rocky beach that is perfect for walks, finding hermit crabs and clams, and kayaking/canoeing if you are able to bring yours. We've built private stairs on the property for easy access to the shore. When we are there we have swam in the cove (there is a bit of seaweed and it is a little rocky) but for swimming with the kids we usually drive 10 km up the road to Blue Sea Corner provincial park which has a beautiful sand beach. The cottage is two kilometers from the amazing Jost winery that does daily tours and the cottage is ten kilometers from Blue Sea Corner Provincial Park that has a large sandy beach and is perfect for swimming and birdwatching. The cottage is seven minutes from Wallace (where you can find McMahon's restaurant, a gas/convenience store and more). An eighteen minute drive will take you into Tatamagoche where you'll find grocery stores and an amazing main street (crafts, souvenirs, a brewery, drug store, farmers’ market, creamery and much more). We could go on and on about everything that is close by (Lismore sheep farm, Mable Murples Book Shoppe, etc.) but we're certain you'll fall in love with the area like we did.
