It is not remote, but it is secluded, and enjoys beautiful views of the jungle and surrounding hills. The house has all the modern conveniences that you could ask for, complete with pool and palm-thatched rancho with swim-up bar. We recently added a handcrafted dining table made of local hard woods for the common area. Apart from all the interior amenities of a 1-year old well-equipped home, the exterior is even more compelling: there are about 60 different kinds of tropical fruit trees surrounding the home. The expansive terrace, the beautiful pool with bar stools and adjoining palm-thatched sunbrellas, are the features that are really distinctive and beckon guests outdoors. Casa Cora is a peaceful tropical sanctuary, and yet very close to numerous exciting water sports and the buzz of the casual but sophisticated night life of Samara. It is settled between two nature preserves in the foothills, at almost equal distance of two idyllic beaches -- Playa Samara and Playa Carrillo. Samara is a beach destination for internationals seeking the exhilaration of surfing, snorkeling, sea kayaking, paddle-boarding, beach volleyball, horseback riding, fishing, swimming, and beachfront restaurants, bars and yoga studios. It's a lively village, merely five minutes from the house by car.. Playa Carrillo is a 3 km palm-lined stretch of white sand beach favored by locals and travelers, alike, because of its beauty. It is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, exploring tidal pools or lounging in a hammock under the shade of the palms, and about 7 to 10 minutes by car from the house. Awaken to the calls of howler monkeys and the songs of many tropical bird species. Cooled by constant tropical sea breezes, view nature in all its splendor from the terrace, pool area or anywhere else on the property, while sipping your coffee or doing your morning yoga. Take the 5-minute drive to Samara or the 10-minute drive to Carrillo or even the 30-minute drive to the world-renowned surfing beaches of Nosara and Guiones.
